We had a wonderful cruise until the power went out! We embarked in Venice in the afternoon then used the Princess water shuttle tickets to go back to St. Mark's square where we wandered around leisurely and had a wonderful meal. The ship sailed the next morning with great views of Venice as we headed towards Athens.
Royal Princess is beautifully decorated - very elegant in cream, gold and wood ...
This was our first cruise with Princess, Royal Princess, 9/15/13.
As the saying goes: 'You only get one chance to make a first impression'. We were not impressed.
In no particular order, here's why:
1. Cabin size ' it's the smallest cabin we've ever been in. Balcony cabin on deck 14 (Riviera). Tiny and crammed with furniture. We stuffed a chair and table in a corner of the 'closet' so we could ...
OK, so we broke down 1/2 way thru the trip. I would still get back on and do it all over again! I feel I have been on enough cruises to give you a realistic view of this ship and what to expect. The ship, being brand new is everything and more than you would expect. The Piazza is beautiful and SO much larger than all the rest of the ships. Entertainment in the Princess Theater was good, not great. ...
We loved our cruise on Royal Princess for the first nine days, unfortunately the ship had mechanical problems and we had to disembark in Naples. No ones fault and we were compensated very well by the cruise company and eventually ended in Barcelona.
The ship was fantastic and we loved our cabin mini suite on Aloha deck. Our balcony was plenty big enough to sit outside and enjoy breakfast of just ...
Although our cruise was shortened due to a mechanical issue, our time on the Royal Princess was incredible. I cannot say enough about the staff, they were personable, entertaining, knowledgable and had a complete understanding of what "customer service" is, and how service can make or break a persons vacation.

We were on the cruise departing 9/15/2013 from Venice for 12 nights ending in Barcelona. This was our third cruise, our first with Princess. We flew from San Francisco to Venice and spent 3 nights at Ca Gottardi, an excellent hotel. On the Royal Princess we stayed in a mini suite on the Aloha deck, room 526. We traveled with friends who stayed in room 524. The suite included a couch and overall it ...

For a variety of reasons, we had no intention of going on any kind of a holiday this year. However, towards the end of May an email offer from Princess popped up that seemed too good to be true. My husband took a look at it and said we'd be idiots not to check this offer out further...so we did and we booked on the Royal Princess.
It was only after we booked that I dug up my old user ID on Cruise ...
