REGAL PRINCESS REVIEW Sept 23 to October 5th, 2014 Mini Suite L224
PRO’s:
Princess spared no money in public parts of this ship! Beautiful start with the Plaza deck. Our 1st cruise was on the original Royal Princess (700 pass) years ago. After many other cruises we selected a mini-suite, 16th deck, great view, close to the pools, jacuzzi, Prego pizza, and Horizon dining, well worth the price. ...
Venice to Barcelona!
Room was great! I hear complaints about the balcony size but it's fine for 2 adults. Your not having a party or entertaining. The room was plenty big and clean being a new ship. Lots of storage space. In almost 2 wks, I saw the steward 5x. Each time I needed something I had to call the desk including getting the water fixed in the shower. It was repaired very ...
We had a port-side full suite on deck 14. Not sure if it was a fluke, but most days we seemed to have the afternoon sun on our balcony, a nice way to end each day. As expected for a brand new ship, our stateroom and the whole ship was in perfect condition. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.
Embarkation was slick and smooth, no issues. We arrived at the pier from our hotel by ...
I chose Alla Tours because my friends said their tours were great and they were. They were on time, very organized, educational, wonderful tour guides and all in all, we felt very well taken care of! I would highly recommend them for any touring in any country.
As far as the cruise itself, it was great. there were a lot of ports but we saw a lot! I loved the ship and the food. The room was ...
Our fifth cruise and almost a repeat itinerary of our cruise on the Ruby Princess last year. Embarking in Venice was well organized. Sailing at 2300 gave a model village look to the city that was lovely. Wonderful opera music played which added to the wonderment. Ravenna provided a brand new city to visit. Excellent coach shuttle service, well done Princess. We dined in the any time dining room, ...
We have cruised on the Princess ships several times and have always enjoyed the ships. The Regal was not designed well. It has no stairs in the middle and the ones on the end don't go all the way up or down. We would come to dead ends often and found many others that did the same, With no stairs everyone had to take the elevators. That made them way over crowded. You would have to wait for a long ...
We took the Grand Mediterranean cruise which departed Venice on August 6th 2014, and stayed in Aloha cabin 501. We were so excited for our first Mediterranian adventure. This was our fourth cruise on Princess, so we were confident the room would be as spacious and well configured for our family of four as on our previous trips (including British Isles cruise and two Carribean cruises). However, ...
The food was disappointing. All the seafood smelled terrible. To the point that you could tell when a seafood plate was coming your way. We avoided all seafood after not having a good time at sabatinis. All other food was ok but nothing special. The Caesar salad was terrible. The food court was not laid our very well. They would shut down the front section of the food court when there were was not ...
I traveled alone this cruise and was a bit concerned about that. However, it turned out to be no problem, friends were everywhere. This was the most international and age diverse cruise I have ever been on, by far. I absolutely felt like I was part of a little UN.
Acommodation -- Since I was alone, and it costs about double to book alone, I tried an inside cabin. The cabin was nice for what it ...
First the good news- the ship is elegantly appointed...badly designed in many ways (but you've read all of that in other reviews). It is as clean and well maintained as many operating rooms I've seen !. The staff is hard working and well trained. Princess' embarkation and debarkation logistics are FABULOUS....well organized and uncomplicated for a huge ship. Port intensive with a fairly good ...
