We are in our 50's and this cruise was our 39th anniversary gift to ourselves. This was our 16th cruise overall but our first transatlantic. Cut to the chase...it was our best cruise ever! We booked our Delta flight on www.ticketstoeurope.com non-stop from JFK to Venice. Upon arrival we caught the blue bus (3 euros) to Piazzale Roma and from there it was a short walk to Hotel Dalla Mora which ...

DW and I are in our 50's. This was our 8th cruise but our first on princess. I booked the cruise and airfare via princess. I also paid extra for the business class upgrade. It was expensive, but well worth it for the 10 1/2 hour flight from Los Angeles to Frankfurt and then hour flight to Venice. We opted for a two night stay in Venice prior to the cruise. This was laso booked ...

Emerald Princess 10/03/08 TransAtlantic We did basically the same cruise last year and liked it so much we sailed it again this year. We spent 2 nights pre-cruise at the Hotel Al Ponte Antico on the Grand Canal very close to the Rialto Bridge. We had a Junior Suite overlooking the canal and the bridge. The hotel is not inexpensive (hotels in Venice are pretty pricey in general), but it was ...

This was our eighth cruise, the first one on Princess. We had a Baja balcony cabin, which we liked a lot. Calm seas and warm temps enabled us to use it more than any previous balcony. We paid $2,000 pp for the 18-day cruise, a bargain. That said, we are likely to resort to cheaper alternatives in the future. For a cruise in January from Fort Lauderdale to Buenos Aires on Carnival we have booked an ...

The Emerald Princess was definitely designed for the needs and wants of Americans.  It also had what I would call an age itinerary for this length of cruise 18 days.If you were under the age of 50 this cruise would definitely not be your cup of tea.In fact I would not recommend the Trans Atlantic trip for those under 50 as you would have little to do other then play bridge, bingo, cards etc.I ...

This was my wife and my first Transatlantic. This was our 12th Cruise, first on Princess the others RCCL, Carnival, Holland America. Both in our 50's. Pre Cruise: Flew from Miami to Rome for 2 days prior to cruise. Stayed at the Hotel Alimande right across from Vatican, a little pricey but the room was great, and the breakfast is terrific. Saw the main sites, Coliseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, ...

This is my review of our 10/08/07 sailing on the Emerald Princess from Venice to Ft. Lauderdale. We flew to Venice 2 days early via air that we arranged ourselves using FF miles. We were unable to get a non-stop from JFK or ATL to Venice so we did have to make a connection in Amsterdam to a KLM flight . Encountered no problems and all our luggage arrived. We stayed at the Locanda Orseolo in ...
