I've been on about 50 cruises on all the major lines, and this was my first and last cruise with MSC. The itinerary was great and unique, so I had to try it, but I didn't realize the stepdown in quality compared to Royal and Princess and the other major brands. The food was not good. Convenient travelling back home to South Africa from Europe. We have cruised with MSC on a few occasions and have always had first class service. The Service and quality of food on this particular Cruise was dumbed down for some reason. Restaurant food very mediocre - poor quality and presentation. Vegetarian option attrocious. Not good to have to sit with the same people for dinner for 23 nights. Need dine around option. Got on the ship, bit slow boarding. They have stretched the ship and fitted another 200 cabins. We had a new cabin (9105). Very tidy, but a bit small. Adequate, but not as good as the last time on this ship. Had requested fixed early dining on a large table to meet other people.
