We were a party of five / 2 balcony cabins. This was our first time and we were very impressed by the ship, the crew simply everything was perfect.
The highest standards are evident on this ship. Everything is so clean especially the public areas. Housekeeping in the cabins was peerless.
The menus at dinner had a good choice and non repetitive. If we had a quibble, it was that the food could be ...
Cruised on the Fantasia during October school week. The itinary was good only ports I would not hurry back to were for Athens and Olympia.
Venice and Santorini were amazing and I would love to go back to both for a holiday. Sailing out of Venice was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Seeing the sights and the friendly Italians in their little boats sailing along side us was an ...
For background information: we travelled as a family of four with teenage children, we are at heart P&O fans but have now also experienced nine other cruise lines in total. We found this MSC cruise to be great value for money; we chose it for the fantastic itinerary and the dates (October half term). The Fantasia is a superb modern ship and we had a lovely spacious balcony cabin on deck ten just ...
From start to finish this cruise ran like a well oiled machine. Yes you have to queue to get on and off the ship, the buffet can be very busy and sometimes you have to wait a little while for a drink. Dining in the restaurants is a whole different experience. The waiters are very friendly and attentive as they serve their tables. The entertainment is good or bad depending upon your personal taste. ...
We were a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children, aged 9 -16). 6 of us were first time crusiers, and 2 have been on numerous cruises, including the Queen Mary, Royal Caribbean, and P&O. From their experience this cruise was as good as their other cruises and even surpassed them in certain areas.
We made our own travel arrangements so arrived at the ship earlier than the scheduled boarding time of ...
We had an excellent holiday on board MSC Fantasia.
Itinerary
We chose this cruise as there was a stop every day and we would get to visit some incredible places. We had also heard that Venice was a beautiful port to depart from - this was a highlight of the holiday, sailing out of Venice and then sitting in one of the hot tubs at the back of the boat to watch the sunset.
Getting on and off the ...
As a solo traveller who needed to find something to do while other family members were busy elsewhere, I had little choice of cruise or cruise line. The MSC Fantasia dates fitted so that was it! However I did have to pay full double price for my balcony cabin on deck 9.
Embarkation involved queuing but it was a well-managed queue and inevitable considering the number of passengers.
My cabin was ...
We booked with MSC Cruises and particularly the fantasia as it had an excellent itinerary and had no days at sea. We booked directly with MSC and had the allegrissimo drinks package. We booked a mid ship balcony cabin on the 10th floor. I had to stop reading the reviews on Cruise Critic as they we're making me want to cancel the cruise altogether. After spending a week on the ship I honestly ...
I'll start by saying that the itinerary was great and was why I booked this cruise. We booked an MSC excursion from Bari to see the trullo houses in Alberobello and that was very enjoyable. I booked another company to take us to Olympia from Katakolon which was cheaper and also provided a guide for the site. The other ports we did on our own using either local tours or public transport which ...
So full disclosure, I am an American whose mother immigrated to the United States from Italy at the age of 13, so I am used to loud relatives and delicious home cooked meals.
My husband and I decided to book this cruise in celebration of my birthday and we were limited in terms of our duration and timing of travel. We thought this cruise would allow us to visit some beautiful places in a short ...
