Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Armonia

MSC Armonia was the perfect cruise for the time that we had in Europe, visiting Kotor Montenegro, Mykonos and Santorini over 6 nights. The cabin was comfortable, plenty of storage and amenities. I would highly recommend Portside for anyone booking as you will see the beautiful coastal scenery from the cabin if you have a window, porthole or balcony. The ship overall is a little old, but has been ...

Geared toward Italian/European cruisers, poor entertainment

Pros: Low price/good value, most staff, especially cabin steward and bar staff, itinerary. Cons: Entertainment was poor, buffet food was poor and very odd choices, customer service staff. Entire cruise geared toward Europeans. Specifics: Room: we had 2 balcony cabins and 1 inside cabin for my family members- the inside cabin was bigger than the balconies. No matter, as Marta, our ...

Terrible experience

The cruise ship was average quality but the customer service is horrible. Service - The customer service on the ship was terrible. Any issues we had were met with excuses and lies. They would tell us one thing & then do something else. Their systems are so poor that you should not prebuy any package before the cruise as you cannot change the package on board. Their system does not allow them to ...

in writing this review. I have taken into account the poor weather ,which does have the effect of confining guests (I use the tem lightly felt like we were invisible to some staff) joining the ship was smoothe enough. ,if you don't mind being pestered to take out packages whilst in the que, could have been a more relaxed exp. if the let you sit down and called you across . On board cabin nice ...

MSC Cruises - Not Great

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Armonia

MSC Cruises oh dear, they are not great or at least this cruise wasn't. Booked flights separately and flew in to Treviso, quite simple to get to Venice Port, catch the bus to Venice (Piazzo de Roma) then the Sky Shuttle to the port (1 euro) or you could walk instead of the Sky Shuttle about 10-15 mins. Service is pretty horrendous, staff look miserable but then again I am not surprised the way ...

Disappointed!

We just finished our fourth cruise with MSC. The first was in 1999 when few Americans had heard of MSC. We loved it! The cuisine, the shows, the demographics, the waiters, came together for a very European experience. Since then we have always particularly enjoyed our cruises with MSC. But this time things were very different. The cruise we took on the Armonia was largely in the Adriatic. ...

Armonia - go ahead, if you like

Well, As I said in the headline, I knew what I was going to get-- I read the brochure but more importantly, I studied the reviews. The MSC Armonia is a budget cruise, specifically for Italians, going to great ports, on a budget, budget (how many times shall I say budget?). Embarkation: easy, fine, but Venice is a very expensive city for cabs. Ask if you really want to go from Venice. We ...

Try with another cruising company

Unfortunately, we decided to go cruising with MSC this year and that was BIG mistake. Be prepared for awful service if you book MSC Armonia. We choose this cruise because of destinations (Santorini, Kefalonia, Montenegro) and the places were perfect, but we have only 4-5 hours for visiting those beautiful places in every port . The drinks are not included in the cabin price so everything ...

MSC DON'T DO IT

This was our 5th cruise but first experience of MSC and we wont be using them again even if it were free ! We were so bitterly disappointed having been with Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity and are now of the opinion that MSC is not even 3 star compared to these three. Two good things - our cabin was very spacious and to have a bath tub was nice. (always had balcony cabins before but never ...
