Are Cunard standards dropping?

Great itinerary from Venice to Rome, with two sea days which we also enjoy. First port was Rijeka, Croatia, it was a Sunday and nothing was open. Not an overly interesting place but then we didn't explore very far. Dubrovnik and Kotor were both a delight to visit but very busy. Our last stop was Naples and we made our way by taxi to Pompeii, which is the most wonderful, fascinating place but much ...

We have been on many cruises and several cruise lines. Celebrity is our most common thise days but we wanted to be on a Queen and the opportunity presented itself. Cruise was dressier than we usually go, but we were prepared. We had formal and costume ware, although we were not particularly taken with the balls. If you like to dance, you'll quite like all of that. We did enjoy the ...

This was a celebratory trip for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We did a portion of our honeymoon on Queen Victoria, and loved it. Stateroom: We were in 5089 Princess Grill. The room was just large enough and comfortable for two of us. The closet was spacious, but a tad dark on the floor. Found our shoes always messy. Wish we could have found a better way to store about 12 pairs. The ...

We booked last minute, suite 7044 in Queens grill. Some aspects of cruise were excellent. The suite was a good size with large balcony and new balcony furniture. The much hyped refit did not include cabin furniture, our coffee table was damaged on the edge for instance and clearly not new. Just a detail. We had a very nice cabin steward (butler). The in suite fridge and free bottle of Bells ...

Looked like good value. The dress code was to restrictive. The meals in the buffet were better than in our restaurant. The staff never looked happy as if they were being watched all the time and were not allowed to be social with quests. A number of times in the Lido (buffet) staff were disciplined in front of guests - not the done thing. The in-house entertainment was average. The ...

We booked this cruise because of the ports and Jacques Pepin would be on board. We upgraded to a marvelous Owners suite--8th floor. I didn't like we were on the 8th floor at first, but once in suite, it was glorious and contrary to other reports, we got lots of sun on the balcony (we were in an oceania suite on prior cruise and never got sun...so it depends on how the ship is sailing). Food ...

We choose this cruise because chef Jacques Pepin was going to be onboard! Unfortunately, the entire cruise was overshadowed with the onboard illness of some cruisers and staff! We were told little about it except that protocol and precautions were put in place to handle it! Thus for the entire remainder of the cruise we had no laundry, no concierge lounge, no preset tables, no salt and pepper ...

My husband and I are in our 50's. We recently joined family members on a recent cruise to the Southern Mediterranean. We were in a new port everyday (no sea days). Embarkation and disembarkation was extremely smooth! The Marina is beautiful and our cabin (veranda) was fantastic. The food was very good, especially in Red Ginger! Loved the specialty activities such as the cooking (additional ...

We chose this cruise as we were hoping to have a better cruise experience by going up a catagory. Did it live up to its hype. Not really. We were kept from our stateroom for hours as they said that they were deep cleaning the rooms due to the gastro virus. So when we finally were able to access our stateroom, it was dirty, dusty and the bathroom still had used shampoo bottles in the tub....deep ...
