The itinerary was great starting Rome and including Taormina Sicily, Rhodes, Egypt and Turkey. Unfortunately Israel was missed due to the tragic conflict at time of cruise. I choose this cruise for the ports and price. The airport transfer from Civitavecchia-Rome to the bus was chaos. Individuals were checked in and then it took an hour before you were led to the bus. We chose this cruise because we toured Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Venice prior to sailing. This cruise enabled us to see more of southern Italy and relax on the second half of the trip. This was our first Viking ocean cruise. We've been on a Viking river cruise previously, as well as numerous cruises on other cruise lines.
