An excellent first cruise experience!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This was our first cruise and after careful research here we thought it would be a good choice as we don't like loud and flashy. Flying from Bournemouth with Titan Airways, the initial impression was not great. The flight ran to schedule, however, in-flight catering was poor with the most miserable processed cheese sandwich made with sliced white bread, plus a four finger Kit-Kat. Arriving ...

This was my first time sailing with Cunard and my sister's first ever cruise. She will now try and convince her DH to go on one but it won't be with Cunard. We had booked a fare including flights to and from Manchester. Flight out was with Jet2 and all went very smoothly including transfers and embarkation. First impressions - the QE is a very beautiful ship indeed. Very elegant, very classy - ...

This was our first time with Cunard havinng cruised with P&O twice in recent years. We joined the cruse in Venice and left in Rome two weeks later. Flights, transfers and embarkation went very smoothly. We had a BA balcony cabin mid ships on deck 6. The cabin was well appointed with plenty of storage space, the balcony was larger than we have had previously and had decent chairs and tables making ...

This was our second cruise, the first with Cunard, our first was with Princess last year. We booked just 3 weeks before departure and felt that we got a good price. The price included all flights and transfers. The flight was from Manchester with Titan, I had not heard of them before and speaking to fellow passengers no others had either. That said, the flight was fine, nothing fancy but ...

The most beautiful ship in service

Why do people choose Cunard? The strictly enforced dress-codes? The link with the golden age of liners? Good service? Your fellow passengers at dinner? On the sailing I was on more than half the passengers were from the UK. The next largest nationality were Australians. The Americans came in third, closely followed by Germans and Canadians. If I remember correctly there were a total of 44 ...

This was our 4th cruise with Cunard our preferred cruise line, our party consisted of myself, my husband, my daughter aged 23 and my son aged 25. We go on holiday together as a family every year as we lead busy lives and it gives us time to relax and catch up. We booked the cruise approximately 6 weeks before departure and we were happy we were allocated rooms next to each other as we were advised ...

Last minute booking--£999 per adult and £699 for our 4year old son flying from Manchester to Venice on Titan Air on a Balcony grade. Titan Air--make Ryan Air look like first class on Emmirates--a very old and tired Boeing 737 with laminated drinks menus--very dirty interior--not a great start to the Holiday. Arrive in Venice (thankfully) and collect baggage in the hall with all of the other ...

Hard to say anything more positive than has already been said about QE & this itinerary again and again. Thought I'd touch on some rough points, but keep in mind: the overall trip was excellent. We chose this trip for the time of year and the Itinerary, not the ship. CUNARD Arranged Flights: While a bargain, the seating on the SwissAir Airbus A330-300 to NYC > Zurich was hot (despite repeated ...

Ups and downs at sea

Transfer from the airport and embarkation were pretty straight forward. Arriving on a Cunard ship is always a fantastic experience and one is made to feel special immediately on boarding. The majority of staff are excellent and a credit to the White Star service. The cabin was lovely, clean and welcoming. We were beside the funnel on Deck 8 so it was quite noisy. Balcony was under Lido restaurant ...

Many reviews already exist on the Queen Elizabeth's Eastern Med sailings for 2013. I will not repeat what others have said to the best of my ability, and only emphasize things I believe others may want to know. This was our 4th Cunard cruise, but all the others were on QM2. We sail the most on Holland America, and Princess in the past, and have done over 20 cruises. This cruise started in Venice ...
