We have just rerurned from an 11 night Adriatic cruise and loved every minute. A wonderful itinerary (although many of us think that Ravenna could be missed). Sailing out of Venice was stunning. We were blessed with great weather for the entire cruise. Quality of ship and service were excellent as was the entertainment. Entertainment each night in the theatre was very good and better than we have ...

This review is about the ship, conditions, service, staff, overview of Celebrity Cruises, & the officers. First the ship was very clean & most of the staff helpful & friendly. Our housekeeping, head mater'd, waiters in the main dinning room, quest services, were all excellent. This was complimented by the friendliest staff of officers we have ever encountered while cruising. We were excited to ...

Silhouette cruise tour #5EB Lake Como and Venice

There are very few reviews of cruise tours so I thought I would help remedy the situation after all they can be a significant part of your vacation. When we made our online booking the #5EB cruise tour for cabin 6173 was $200 pp cheaper than for the cruise charge for cabin 6173. We booked the cruise tour. Well wouldn't you.? After a 24 hour flight from Melbourne via Dubai we arrived tired and ...

This was our third cruise, second with Celebrity, first on Silhouette. It was third of 3 overall but was still very good. The postives were Excellent Main Dining both food and service, we were Select and were able to enjoy same table and servers at different times. Better than Solstice. The embarkation at Venice was smooth (better than Sydney), and so was the disembarkation in Rome (better than ...

This is about my 15th cruise 5 th with Celebrity and the pros far far outweigh the cons. We started with a pre day in Venice, staying at the Hilton Molino Stucky, nice hotel off the beaten path, and nice to come home to, as Venice was very crowded. I love Venice and have been there many times, this time seemed so so busy and very very expensive to get around. I did book private transportation ...

We booked a one week eastern mediterranean cruise on Celebrity Silhoutte from Venice to Kotor, Santorini, Athens and Katakolon. Did exactly the same cruise on another ship years agon so we knew what to expect in the ports. Cabin: As the price difference between the Aqua Class Cabin and a Sky Suite was marginal we decided to try the Sky suite this time, only suites available were the ones ...

First time cruisers from Australia, in our 60's with no idea what to expect, we were in for a very pleasant surprise. Stayed at Hilton Venice the night before in a lovely room overlooking the Grand Canal, breakfast was excellent, discharge efficient even though very crowded. Ordered a private water taxi as we had many bags and a short time later arrived at the Silhouette. We were met on the dock ...

Celebrity Silhouette is exactly what the advertisement announces: a new ship with many attractions and still large enough to accomodate secluded places to stay away from the crowds. Shore Excursions and internet access remain very expensive. Shows were as usual, some good some just regular, but all showing a lot of rehersals and a very good orchestra. The music shows in the main lobby were ...

Just got back from an awesome vacation... this was my fourth saling with Celbrity but second time for my daughter and husband. Flew from Vancouver to Seattle,Paris and finally got to Venice via Delta Airlines. Must say we were impressed with service on Delta and will fly with them again. Spent 2 days in Venice.. stayed at Hotel Becher, a small boutique hotel right in San Marco. Anna, the hotell ...

This was our first cruise with Celebrity having previously been on Royal Caribbean ships the Freedom and the Independence of the Seas. We loved it. The ship is not dissimilar to the RCI ships but there is a slightly more low key/restrained atmosphere. The public areas are good and we appreciated the wide variety of public spaces. There were multiple bars and specialty food outlets of course, but ...
