We sailed on Constellation's voyage from Venice to Rome. We had a great itinerary. Embarkation in Venice was extremely smooth and we were in our stateroom less than one-half hour after getting to the pier. Celebrity staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Food in the main dining room was very good but mediocre in the buffet. Food there was often lukewarm and would become cold by the time you got ...
First time in a Millennium class ship, not overtly impressed. Needed a refurb and the layout of some areas like the buffet, elevators, main parlor were small and odd. I'll definitely make sure I'm on a solstice or edge class next. I enjoyed Blue as we usually do concierge class. The wine selection by the glass even for premium is seriously lacking...the wines were poor and cheap. I missed ...
I enjoyed the people I met on the cruise. I found the service from the staff to have been wonderful. The ship is clean and well maintained. Most of the entertainment was good; however, It wasn't horrible; it was just not great. Food was good, but to get great food, one has to eat in specialty restaurants. Bottled water, soda, and juice is now an extra, and the constant marketing of restaurants, ...
Visiting Eastern Med coast was our chief aim. We boarded early having booked a taxi from our hotel, the driver came rather sooner than needed but we were welcomed by CC st the port and boarded after a short wait.
Our steward, Lourdes, welcomed us too and gave very good service. However, she asked that we put our bags out before dinner on the last night as she had to move them all which was ...
Cabin was small and tacky, similar to a Days Inn. 300+ KIDS everywhere and disruptive - jamming elevators, slamming doors, running down the halls. The ship did little to abate the problem. No adult only areas. Kids in the bars long into the night. Entertainment in show loung was lackluster. Service was terrible. Couldnt get a beverage in the lounges - few servers and they are oblivious. ...
We chose this cruise as we liked the itinerary. Unfortunately, we didn't get to board the ship in Venice as our flight from Belfast was over 8 hours late! We flew, instead to Dubrovnik which would have been our first port of call, and boarded the ship the following day.
We were on a classic drinks package, but could not believe we were charged over $12 for 2 medium bottles of water in our cabin ...
We chose to cruise with Celebrity for our Greek Island trip. We have been cruising for 15 years and have sailed with several other companies. Unfortunately, after flying to Venice, staying in Venice, cruising for a week, and spending a couple days in Rome after the cruise, the highlight of the trip was the disaster that happened on the island of Santorini. We arrived excited to take the ...
Overall a really nice cruise with some great ports of call. The staff generally are really friendly, but I felt they lacked some training especially when serving drinks. There seemed a shortage of bar staff at times and quite often your choice of drink (premium package) was only available in a certain bar, which was not explained when taking the package. More than once, we ordered champagne only ...
We went on this cruise which sailed on 28th May which was the first sailing in the year. An earlier cruise before ithe weather got too hot would have been much better - every day the temperature hovered around 27 - 29 degrees. The heat was scorching and combined with the dry shadeless places the ship docked, we found ourselves often staying back on the ship. It looks like the cruise business ...
We have been sailing with Celebrity for a number of years, and was pretty disappointed in this cruise!
I know the ship was in dry dock this past Spring for upgrades, but the ship certainly did not reflect any! We were Aqua Class, however, it certainly was not worth the added cost! We (3 couples) found Blu to be quite disappointing this time around! Some evenings we went to Blu, but ordered ...
