I went on the "glories of Spain and Portugal" itinerary in August. This was my first cruise. The small ship size was great and I got to know the fellow passengers and crew very well. The crew and staff were excellent and very attentive, and I also enjoyed the small group excursions. I really enjoyed the ports and the privileged locations we got to dock at each day. The ship was very clean and ...

This was our first cruise and after reading some negative comments prior to us boarding, I was a little concerned. However, after spending 8 wonderful days, sailing around the Mediterranean, stopping off at beautiful Greek Islands, eating the most fabulous food, being waited upon like we were Kings and Queens, I decided that the people that had written the negative comments must have been on the ...

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the Variety Cruises' Harmony V doing it's Classical Greece itinerary. We had never been to Greece before and we couldn't imagine seeing it any other way. The cruise itinerary had a very nice mix of destinations and because of the ship size, we got to see some obscure islands that we would have never seen otherwise like Monemvassia, Kea and Kythira. We ...

I had the absolute pleasure of spending the end of June aboard Variety Cruises' Harmony V doing its Classical Greece itinerary. I had been to Greece several times before and I have to say that having done the whole island hopping thing using catamarans and car ferries, constantly packing and unpacking, there truly is no better way to travel than this. We would literally wake up to a new port of ...

We just returned from a great trip on Harmony V, through Variety Cruises. A 7 day trip that was fabulous! From the itinerary to the service, the food, to the boat to the weather. Please note that this is a cruise for travelers, not cruise-ship folks. The boat is small, holds 54 passengers. We had 27, which made it wonderful too. We visited: Kea Mykonos Delos (day excursion, extra $, but well ...

Why Don't More Americans Know About Variety Cruises?

With the exception of Santorini we were able to dock at each port and even there we had a good-sized tender to take us to the Cable Car to Fira. On the first evening Captain Emmanuel warned us that he didn't think he would be able to go directly to Delos and would proceed to Mykonos. He was right! The Meltemi winds were blowing and the sea was dancing with white caps. We arrived in Mykonos early ...
