Very Disappointing

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We choose this line because it goes through the Tracy Arm Fjords. I have to say after 36 cruises this is the most disappointing - the boat was dated and our room was not clean. We had to complain to the front desk and get them to clean again and still they missed cleaning the drawers and mirrors. The food was horrible in the dining room and buffet and only one of the specialty restaurants was ...

The sheets had holes! The curtains were stained! The food gave me food poisoning! Extremely understaffed! I asked for a refund on my gratuities and they confirmed on board that I would. I have been on the phone with them for a full hour and all they could say is “Sorry no, we already paid the workers.” This would be an improper charge if they said they would give me a refund but ...

Very poor food and overpriced Internet!

We thought it was a simple and easy getaway from Vancouver. Down the coast to Santa Barbara, CA then to San Diego and home from LA. The Food was so poor in quality, temperature, and presentation. From overcooked salmon, and cooled escargot to rotten lettuce, tomato and cucumbers. Just to name a few things. The app system went down three things. Internet is overpriced at $28 CDN a day. All the ...

I am very very disappointed with the cruise to glacier Alaska , I only bought this cruise to see the glacier and we could not see ANYTHING.. All that I see was beautiful mountains that I see constantly because I live in Canada and we are surrounded by it , I was very excited for this cruise only to see the glacier that the pictures when we go to the royal Caribbean’s page to buy it shows .. the ...

Food Windjammer buffet food inedible. All meat dishes w/ the exception of the roast were TOO SALTY. Buffet drove me to become a vegetarian. East Indian food is a favorite of my daughter. She left it on her plate. inedible. Pizza dry and had few toppings. The moment the MDR opened for breakfast and lunch we ate there. Still disappointed. Eggs Benidict fine, but cook not flexible. I ...

Worst cruise of my life. Terrible management!

This was the WORST vacation experience of my life, by far. Let me preface that all the service providers on the ship were exemplary but honestly had their hands tied by the lack of management support. Any negative statement presented here is not aimed at the service staff. To set the stage. This was a bucket list trip for my father, turning 82 on the ship. MONTHS of planning went into this with ...

this was worst cruise out of 14 we have taken..when I read reviews I always say, o some people just like to complain, but regarding this ship I fully understand.first, check in was a nightmare, they took us in circles to sit us in different places,it was the girls first day at check in desk, she was clueless what to do, took forever....got to our room, 7070 and was not what we wanted, had ...

The captain did an excellent job on getting the ship close to the Glacier.

I thought a cruise was a great way to explore Alaska and to see the Glacier. I wish that Royal Caribbean International would of included a day to explore the city at the port. The speaker in the cabin to hear the captain speak doesn't work in the cabin. When the captain spoke we had to open the cabin door to hear him.The meals in the dinning room were disappointing for the portion of food was small ...

We cruised the Radiance of the Seas from Vancouver to Ketchikan to Prince Rupert and back (5 nights / 6 days) as our first Royal Caribbean International (RCI) adventure, and we will not sail with this cruise line or its affiliates again. (FYI-our platinum cruise with Carnival is this September, so we know what to expect when cruising.) The following commentary reflects our viewpoint and opinions ...

Not the Royal Caribbean We've Known

As background, we have cruised RC 5 times. We just became Platinum members. We've recommended RC to friends and acquaintances. But our recent cruise on the Radiance of the Seas to Alaska was so disappointing, we don't know that we will cruise RC again. The following was first communicated in writing to the RC customer relations folks. However, all we got was the boiler plate, thanks for the ...
