Anniversary Cruise to Hawaii

We chose this cruise because our 45th anniversary would be celebrated while onboard, as well as the fact that we live close to the cruise port and would not have to fly prior to or after the cruise. We had the HIA package and booked our specialty dinners prior to sailing, as well as booking our shore excursions before sailing so we were ensured of them not selling out before we got onboard. I also ...

We chose this cruise so we would have many sea days, but also the itinerary was amazing! We went from Vancouver to Seattle, then Hawaii, French Polynesia, Tahiti, New Zealand and ended in Sydney, Australia. We loved it all! The food on board was great, although we found there could have been a little change from week to week, but all in all it was very good. Even the buffet had good choices! Being ...

Looking forward to seeing couple of new places and revisiting others. Was already on the Crown Princess in Alaska in may and found that the service and food has got so bad. They seem to be leaving the service out and many crew were not trained. We found that they were using the long ride to train staff. While I understand that if we had been told we could have not so hard on the crew we ...

Princess focus on charging more vs guest loyalty

Mediocre PCL experience. As Captain Circle Platinum guests, we received very little recognitions throughout our 7-day cruise. PCL primarily focus seems to be “charge more, give less.” Imposed new charges on services which should be included, such as room service, medallion orders, Alfredo/Gigi’s, etc. Crew seemed tired, overwhelmed, unhappy and rude at times. Managers conduct meetings with staff ...

After 31 years, it was time for us to return to Hawaii, so we went by ship. Royal Princess scheduled a 7 day cruise from Vancouver B.C. to Honolulu with a stop in Seattle. Embarkation at Canada Place was very quick even though we were in the Blue Lane. We picked up our medallions, dropped our bags in our cabin and went to Concerto for lunch. This was the best meal I had in one of the Main ...

Another and possibly our last Princess cruise due to cutbacks ,poor food and very disappointing entertainment onboard. We have done over 400 days on princess and since the break over Covid we are just completing our 4th long cruise and have felt undervalued and quite frankly ripped off. We travel in a suite and enjoy the concierge lounge with happy hour every evening with complimentary ...

This was a 10 day cruise from vancover to hawailli as she goes to the land of the aussie. a good mix of people and we all were looking forward to a cruise cruise to an amazing place. we arrived at the ship and were shocked at the state of the exterior of the ship, Rust, peeling paint around those once pretty blue window frames arouns the pool area. glass looked like it had not been ...

We booked Aqua class, as had done several times before. Not worth it, and for much less, you get almost the same in other categories, like Veranda or Concierge. Blu restaurant was always full, had to wait 15-20 minutes every evening, no matter what time we arrived. Breakfast is available between 7.30 and 9. Good but very slow. Seems they are short on personnel. Menu not as good as it used to ...

This was our 3rd cruise with Holland America and our second on the Koningsdam, and first to Hawaii. It was a test run of a longer cruise with more sea days, with splendid results: we loved the sea days, and the tour around the Hawaiian islands was a lot of fun. We booked an inside cabin and a Retreat cabana, rather than a Veranda room. We were happy with the inside cabin, which was roomy, ...
