Great for hotel and catering - somewhat disappointed with the timing

Our first cruise with Oceania, and second cruise overall. Service was excellent. Lots of nationalities on board and they gave a really welcoming feeling. They also cared about the guests : when my wife got seasick, several asked her, the next day, if she was feeling better. Catering was also very good, even excellent in the speciality restaurants. Only two remarks : 1) We found the ...

Our cruise began inauspiciously with the Oceania staff at the airport having no record of our booking the cruise. But after being shown the confirmation, the response was impressive. We were guided by two employees -- one in charge of our bags -- to the taxi stand and sent on our way to the ship. This set the tone for the entire cruise. The staff onboard was superb, always pleasant and ...

We recently returned from our first Oceania cruise to Alaska on the Regatta. We had previously sailed on the Marina in the Med and so had high hopes of the Regatta. Like previous reviewers we found the bathrooms pretty small with only enough room for a small shower, sink and toilet. The space was well arranged and there was plenty of room to store toiletries but we we are of average height and we ...

This was my 61st cruise, first with Oceania. Overall a very nice cruise, with a few glitches here and there that could be easily fixed with this line to make it nearly perfect. We flew from Washington DC to Vancouver. Our air and transfers were done with the cruise line. I thought it was rather strange that I received confirmation from both my travel agent as well as Oceania about the air ...

Having cruised a number of times on Windstar, my wife and I were looking for a cruise to Alaska. Unfortunately Windstar did not go there, so we looked into other cruise lines. We both prefer the smaller ships, so when we saw Oceania, and the small ship (650 passengers), the brochure looked great, actually over the top for us, but we thought, it will hold up to the standards that we were ...

We are a couple aged 59 and 63. This was my first cruise ever; my partner's umpteenth cruise. He had always cruised on the big ships so we looked forward to this new experience. We chose this cruise mostly because of the itinerary. Few other cruise lines offered the ports of Sitka, Homer, Seward, Wrangell and Anchorage. As we learned more about Oceania, we greatly anticipated the food, service ...
