Lots to like ..... but outdated and dreadful food offer

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and also to see whether we enjoyed the Seabourn product and typical clientele vibe enough to book the 2024 world cruise. We were blessed with great weather from start to finish so enjoyed the wonders and majesty of the Alaskan fjords in all their glory. The excursions on this trip were certainly pretty pricey but the wildlife sightings we enjoyed - bears ...

The cruise ship was in for routine maintenance and we were informed the day of embarkation that there was a strike in North Vancouver and the ship would be delayed until 1 PM. They then told us 4:PM. At 4 were told we could go to the terminal to check in, and proceeded to wait until 6:30 PM to check in. Once we arrived on the ship we were told it would not leave until 1:00 AM the next day. On the ...

Not worth the money. Customer service terrible

Do not waste your money. You take a cruise to see things. Excursions cancelled, brochure makes it sound fabolous, not true in descriptions. Food is not that flavorful. Buffet - many times bowls were empty, very slow in getting soft drinks or drinks, all the food in every restaurant taste the same. Elevators not working for days, plumbing problems, laundry was delayed in getting clothes back. ...

Lovely cruise to Alaska - is it ultra-luxury?

I chose this cruise because the 7 day itinerary fitted in with a trip to Vancouver, Alaska and Seattle of nearly 4 weeks. And it went to 4 ports, whereas the premium lines only went to 3 ports in 7 days. And it had a lot fewer people, which is a great bonus. We booked in 2018 for 2020 (postponed to 2022) so we paid probably half of what it would have cost this year. This was our first ocean ...

Poorest service ever on a cruise ship! I would give it less than 1 out of 5 if I could!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Chose this ship since it was going through the panama canal, across the atlantic and on to the mediterranean. Worst staff ever! most staff were incompetent at their jobs, especially reception and pursers office. Many staff were outright rude! we have never seen such widespread rudeness on a cruise ship. Room steward LOCKED ME OUT on my patio and then blamed the door (said it locked ...

Disappointing

The Alaska itinerary was as we expected and included 2 days viewing glaciers at close range. We have sailed the QE before, and the food was disappointing this time. We like lamb, but it was on the dinner menu 4 times on one week, plus some lunches. The same was true of orange roughy. There was a sirloin steak once, but no other steaks in the main dining room. No filet mignon, and no New York ...

It is great to be cruising again, this is our 3rd post Covid cruise, the other two were on Crystal’s Serenity (July) and Symphony (December). Today is packing day so I thought I would post this review. I have been traveling for business during the COVID era so I usually mask, sanitize, and keep distances having in last year been to Spain, Dubai, Doha, Israel, Austria, and Germany. Been lucky ...

The cruise just prior to ours was apparently the cruise from hell (see previous reviews) with ship breakdown, missed ports and time delays. Thankfully everything seemed to be corrected for our departure. Other than today's typical airline horror stories, which we just barely missed, we arrived in Vancouver at 4:30 in the morning, of departure day. Therefore, our free day in the departure city ...

Pros: *Cunard’s unable to improve its service. It is ‘top notch’ with exemplary care provided by the crew. *Ship is well appointed with class throughout. *Good instrumental entertainment. *MDR cuisine is mostly innovative and exceptional. *Cunard ‘knows how’ to make coffee unlike the insipid liquid served on many other lines. *Embarkation well organized. *Although the staff ...

Alaska was amazing but the cruise was disappointing.

Alaska cruise from Vancouver to Seward - a fantastic way to see Alaska! However - the actual cruise was disappointing. The "entertainment" on board was outdated and like a high school talent hour. It was so bad that it was laughable. The restaurant choices were poor, the only variety offered from the on board restaurants required a supplemental charge. The complimentary house wines were ...
