Seabourn - still fabulous after all these years!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

Still Fabulous after all these years! My husband and I first sailed aboard Seabourn in the Mediterranean in 2005 and then again in 2011 aboard the Seabourn Legend, one of their smaller ships. Those two voyages turned us into small-ship cruise enthusiasts. We remembered how amazingly friendly and attentive the entire crew was towards all the passengers—their willingness to do anything to make ...

Another excellent cruise

I always choose Cunard for their high standards of service and overall relaxing and quality experience. This one, a trip from Vancouver to Alaska generally followed that trend. There were a few things that we particularly loved and some that were not quite up to scratch... The headline guest for the first few days was Bear Grylls-well what a disappointment. He did a couple of presentations ...

Five Star British Experience!

With the assistance of our Travel Agent, we chose this cruise because of its value to length ratio. Where else could you get 12 nights in Alaska for such great prices. As I elaborate on the experience, keep in mind that our views and experiences are influenced by a large number of previous cruises on Princess, Holland America and others. This was our first time on Cunard--therefore we have zero ...

Outstanding on board service, awful administrative support and planning

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Silver Muse

PROS: First and foremost the on ship service was outstanding and the crew very attentive, though understandably on the first day it is a bit chaotic and service is harder to find with everyone running around. The all inclusive nature (which you of coruse pay for in the fare) makes things very easy. Once the butler knows your preferences they are quite efficient (it just wont happen day ...

Silver Muse is a beautiful ship but……

We chose this cruise because it’s supposed to be 6 star luxury & also includes the excursions. Boarding the cruise was seamless & impressive. Suites & ship are beautiful. Service in main restaurants was slow & inconsistent. It seemed everyone was new & inexperienced except a handful which were good. Food was average. We asked for soy milk in the breakfast restaurant & the first 4 days they said ...

Great locations, family, but not great cruise

We went on this Silversea cruise on the inside passage with my mom for her birthday. I've been on a number of cruises with other cruise lines, but it's been about 6 years since we last cruised. I had high expectations with Silversea because it was billed as a luxury cruise and expected more. Overall, we had a great time. Ports were nice and the crew were very nice. It was nice being in a ...

Regent is our favourite cruise line and we chose this cruise to coincide with the celebration (a year late due to Covid) of our Golden Wedding Anniversary.Having flown into Calgary we stayed over before transferring to the Rimrock Hotel enjoying a day in the Banff national park before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer for a two day journey from Banff to Vancouver prior to our Alaskan cruise. ...

Carnival Minus Experience, 6 Star Prices

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

Carnival service, 5 star prices First the good things, the cabin was very good, a veranda suite. The staff were mostly very nice, but they are lions led by donkeys. Now for the bad. The food for the money was deplorable. On second thoughts, not just for the money, it was just awful. I have had the dubious pleasure of sailing on Royal Caribbean at about a quarter of the price and the food ...

A very much needed vacation

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Star Breeze

Before the pandemic, we took many cruises including 10 on Windstar. While we also enjoyed sailing on other cruise lines, we choose Windstar mainly for dining and relaxing. We loved the elegance and size of the Star ships before the stretch. When we heard that the ships were being stretched, we wondered how it would change the ships. Would there be enough space to accommodate more passengers? ...

Out of the ordinary

Our experience started out really rough at the Port in Vancouver. No one seemed to know what the heck was going on and where to send us. There was a lot of walking involved and a lot of waiting! We arrived two hours after our embarkation time and still had to sit and wait at least 45 minutes to board. We found there to be little to no direction throughout the cruise. When in port they ...
