Trans-Pacific and Best of Japan B2B - Part One

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This was our third attempt to do this with Celebrity...COVIDS caused the cruise to be canceled year after year. We lifted and shifted our reservations, with Celebrity being quite amenable after a bit of balking. Japan is one of the places DW and I had never visited before, and the idea of sailing across the North Pacific was intriguing. The ship gets *****. Our first trip on Millie, ...

Great Alaska Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. We ate every night in the Reserve Collection dining Room. I highly recommend it - never having to wait ...

Alaska was fantastic, but Crown Princess was a disappointment

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

We are loyal Princess Cruise passengers, and this was our tenth cruise with Princess, first trip on the Crown Princess. While Alaska was absolutely amazing, we were really disappointed with the experience on the ship. The food was probably our number one issue, with very few choices on the boat and a very lackluster buffet. The variety wasn't there, and they often put out stale and old items. One ...

My daughter and i enjoy cruising together and decided to do a royal caribbean cruise up to alaska. she saw the cruise at a good price last january, and some family decided later, that they wanted to join us, but price went up very steeply so they did not come. i am diamond level and daughter is ruby level. Very Disappointing

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We choose this line because it goes through the Tracy Arm Fjords. I have to say after 36 cruises this is the most disappointing - the boat was dated and our room was not clean. We had to complain to the front desk and get them to clean again and still they missed cleaning the drawers and mirrors. The food was horrible in the dining room and buffet and only one of the specialty restaurants was ...

The Good the Bad and the Ugly

We chose the ship because we had friends in Sitka and wanted to visit them and wanted to leave from Vancouver where we also looked forward to meeting old cruising friends. We were 4, Dad, son and two faughters, all Seniors but all Diamond on RCL. I was in a wheelchair for getting on and off and for longer on board ventures. We booked a 2 bedroom Grand Suite because it met our needs for separate ...

First Alaska cruise 14 days

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

Picked this cruise as a B2B to the Vancouver-Sydney relocation cruise. The weather for 14 days was bleak, but doing a return trip we managed to see everything we wanted, though we missed Hubbard Glacier and the first Ketchikan stop. The internet worked well and we had no problems with the Medallion app. Would have spent more time in the casino except the smoke smell was terrible, seeping out ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

We chose this cruise at the 2 months prior to embarkation. Got one of the last V3 cabins, but 5 weeks later got an offer from Seabourn to upgrade to a penthouse suite for $299 per person, Took it and loved the suite. It really added to the experience. It was our second time on Seabourn. The weather turned poor half way through, but that's Alaska in September. Ventures by Seabourn excursions were ...

Perfect sized ship for Alaskan cruise

Food was excellent (nice choice and variety). Service has excellent (stateroom stewards were amazing!). Thoroughly enjoyed how close the ship got to Hubbard Glacier. Also enjoyed the other ports of call. The Naturalist on the cruise was also amazing. Saw dolphins, whales, and sea lions from the ship - cool! DID NOT LIKE WARD’S COVE. Oceania’s parent company, NCL, has their own dock, outside ...

Great itinerary and food in dining room

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Price for a turnaround Alaskan cruise was really inexpensive. You see same ports but different glaciers. Obstructed ocean view cabin is clean and comfortable. I just wish Princess would clean the outside windows. The new Alaskan menu in the dining room is excellent if you like fish/ seafood. 3 production shows good, comedians horrible. The naturalist onboard gave informative lectures but the ...
