"Service slow even though we all chose fast pace service ( I don’t think they pay attention to preferences on the app) there were more than one occasion that the table settings were missing cutlery or water glasses.Didn’t bother complaining, I think they were just done being last cruise before dry dock...."Read More

Still a lovely ship with a fantastic crew

We honeymooned on the Crown in 2007. Had a great time sailing from NYC to the Caribbean and back. That trip kick started our love of cruising. So this trip was a homecoming of sorts. How was it 16 years later? While the ship has obviously aged and shows some wear here and there, overall it seems to be actually improved. The tech added throughout the ship is brilliant. The medallions worked ...

Worst cruise experience--hoping this was a one time thing

This was my 12 cruise on Princess and they have always been great. Some of the problems on this one were outside of Princess' control but there's no excuse for the cabin problems. The first day my cabin was cold but I'm not one to complain about things normally so I just let it go. Changing the temp on the thermostat didn't do anything. The evening of day one my TV went out. I suddenly ...

I chose this week long cruise to test Princess before taking a longer cruise in the fall. Immediately after the week was over I cancelled the longer trip. My “mini suite” was no larger than a regular balcony suite on Holland America. The water in the bathroom was scalding hot and they did nothing about it. Half of the public areas were so cold you had to wear a jacket or coat and there was ...

Not up to usual Princess standards

We have cruised with Princess more than 40 times. We chose this particular cruise to get back into sailing after the pandemic b/c it was out of Vancouver, which is relatively close to home, and also b/c it was longer than 7 days. It did not particularly leave me looking forward to my next cruise, although some of it was beyond Princess' control...like getting back to Vancouver 4 hours late and ...

Got home yesterday from our 10 day cruise to the California coast on the Crown. This was my second cruise with Princess. After the first one, I wasn't sure I would cruise with them again as I found the ship, the Emerald Princess that time, extremely crowded. However, I have to say this cruise was much more pleasant. We had a great time, lots of fun and met the most wonderful people. It ...

Embarking was an absolute nightmare. Completely disorganized. Totally understaffed. Could not manage the crowds. This was definitely foreshadowing of what the whole cruise would be. The ship was literally falling apart with water damage everywhere. There was a fire in the laundry room and smoke in the theatre. Our hallway stunk like mildew and the carpet was soaking wet the entire trip. There ...

The worst cruise we've ever been on

This was our 15th Princess cruise and of all the cruise line ships we've been on; Princess has always been our favorite. As this was our 1st cruise since the start of the pandemic in 2020, and as it was round trip from Vancouver (close to where we live) we took a chance and booked this cruise, as not only did we not have to fly, but we also liked the itinerary, which included port stops in San ...

Chose this cruise for it’s round trip itinerary/ no air required as we live close to Vancouver BC. We were a group of 12 ranging in age 16-65+. We were well aware of the issues this ship had prior to the dry dock it was scheduled for after our cruise. This cruise included 2 medical evacuations, a flood that caused several cabins to relocate, elevators out of order, pools drained and out of ...

Princess cruises has a lot of work to do to improve

I hardly know where to start with the issues we had on this cruise. The crew was extremely short staffed everywhere. This resulted in long, long line ups & waits for everything. Not enough people in the dining rooms; coffee bar; front desk; bars, etc. The crew worked hard but just couldn't keep up. At least an hour wait for breakfast & lunch in the dining rooms. That was on top of long line ups to ...

Great Week in the Pacific Coast

Princess always delivers on their products and experiences. We had a great time and experience on Crown Princess while cruising south from Vancouver to Los Angeles. We visited Seattle, Mount St Helens, Astoria OR, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara. Lots of wineries to visit! Food was good and service was excellent. Embarkation went well, even after expecting higher waiting times as there were 3 ...
