We booked Aqua class, as had done several times before. Not worth it, and for much less, you get almost the same in other categories, like Veranda or Concierge.
Blu restaurant was always full, had to wait 15-20 minutes every evening, no matter what time we arrived. Breakfast is available between 7.30 and 9. Good but very slow. Seems they are short on personnel. Menu not as good as it used to ...

This is a trip we are glad we took, but probably wouldn’t take again. On the plus side, it is a relatively inexpensive way to visit Hawaii, which is hideously expensive. Room and food cost us about $180 per person per day on the boat. Comparable accommodations and meals would probably cost at least twice as much on land. Not to mention we saved some on air fare. Love leaving out of my home town, and wanted to try 5 days at sea! Cruise was great, good activity staff and a great roll call who had many activities to help fill up those days at sea. Firstly, the ship is in excellent shape. This was our 7th Celebrity cruise, the first time to Hawaii and also the most sea days we have experienced. We chose this cruise because the last time we sailed on celebrity we had a wonderful time and rated celebrity as the top of the line. We were originally planning to sail on Norwegian but switched to the Solstice when we saw it. Big mistake. It was the most boring cruise I have ever taken. We really enjoyed this cruise. Be ready for smaller portions than the usual American size that I have come to know. There is plenty of more portions, all you have to do is ask. The buffet was not portions, so make your picture.
