Disappointing

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We booked Aqua class, as had done several times before. Not worth it, and for much less, you get almost the same in other categories, like Veranda or Concierge. Blu restaurant was always full, had to wait 15-20 minutes every evening, no matter what time we arrived. Breakfast is available between 7.30 and 9. Good but very slow. Seems they are short on personnel. Menu not as good as it used to ...

Overall a wonderful boat and good cruise

Things we liked: wonderful boat and amenities, the crew was kind and hard-working, and the food was good for the most part. The ports were great and we liked the setup of the ship. Service and food in Murano was exceptional, best place to eat by a long shot. Things we didn't like: service in MDR was very rushed, we felt hustled along to order and eat, food was good though. Service in Tuscan ...

Stunning Alaska.....fabulous weather

So Alaska was a bucket list cruise. The chance to revisit Vancouver and a first time visit to Seattle was too good to pass up. Everything about this itinerary was amazing and after a few spots of rain for about 30 minutes in Ketchikan, it was mostly blue skies and warmth throughout. Could not have conjured up better weather. Fantastic stay in Auberge hotel just 5 minute walk to the port in ...

This was our first Celebrity Cruise. We departed from Vancouver and there were two ships boarding. I'll bet we walked 2 miles serpentining through the terminal to finally board. Passengers for both ships were together but near the end were finally separated. This could have been real problem for someone with mobility issues. We had a balcony room, that was fine. You are able to fit your ...

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

First this was not a 15 night Bering Sea & Japan TransPacific but an 8 night Vancouver to Los Angeles Pacific Coast cruise. The ship was in very good condition with a few exceptions, like a bench seat with torn upholstery in the Oceanview Cafe. We were in Cabin 3174 (Unobstructed Oceanview) which has a convenient location to minimize walking distance and was not excessively noisy. Main dining ...

So Sad, Poor Tired Ship

We chose the itinerary (which was the Pacific Coast, not Japan) Originally we chose the Millinium, but the ship was changed to Solstice. Big disappointment. From a revolutionized ship to one who is just worn out. I choose a cruise for the whole experience and this did not deliver. The service overall service was great, the staff was friendly, we did not experience any of the shortages ...

Solstice Vancouver to Hawaii 9/13/19

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

This is a trip we are glad we took, but probably wouldn’t take again. On the plus side, it is a relatively inexpensive way to visit Hawaii, which is hideously expensive. Room and food cost us about $180 per person per day on the boat. Comparable accommodations and meals would probably cost at least twice as much on land. Not to mention we saved some on air fare. Flights to Vancouver are much less ...

Wonderful Time on Solstice

We boarded the Solstice in Vancouver destination to Hawaii. It was our 25th Anniversary and we couldn't of made a better choice. The 5 full days at sea gave us time to relax and decompress from our everyday routine. We were in Aqua class and the service was in excellence. Our room with balcony was excellent and well taken care of by the room attendant (Devan). We dined in Blu every night and ...

First time cruising and we chose Alaska for it's scenic. It's was our 29th anniversary and decided on Celebrity Solstice after reading the reviews. We got a really good price and the weather was wonderful. Would go again. Ports were very nice. If going again would just choose the land tour next time. Ship was nice. Just needed a little more entertainment and maybe a couple of quick snack places. ...

We lucked out with good weather but the cruise did not meet our expectations. Just about everything was just pretty average other than cleanliness which was great. The ship was very clean and well maintained. . This was our first time cruising on Celebrity. The food was very bland. The service was pretty good. The buffet offered variety but nothing exceptional in terms of flavor. The food ...
