West Coast for the first time

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We booked this cruise because of the itinerary. We are not wine lovers and we didn't see much evidence of wine events. We saw this cruise listed in local newspaper, booked late, but were able to get one of the few balcony cabins left. The cabin was on Deck 9 forward and was between the overhangs from Deck 10 and therefore we were not in the shade. This is the first Celebrity cruise for us in ...

A group of ten Rotarians signed up for this specialty cruise. We had a good time but spent our "debriefing" meeting talking about all of the things that went wrong. My wife and I flew to Seattle and took a shuttle bus to Vancouver. We stayed at the Century Plaza Hotel on Brarrard Street in the downtown area. The hotel was near a very good Thai restaurant and a wine shop. Embarkation was a ...

Wine Tasting Cruise had a Sour Taste

At the suggestion of some friends who cruise three of four months a year, we switched from HAL to Celebrity in 2011 and took a two week cruise on the Century, which was the final Alaskan cruise of the season. We had a wonderful time and based on that experience we booked an eight-day cruise on the Century Millennium. The results were not nearly as good. Embarkation: The cruise left from ...

8 Night Gin Cruise - I mean Wine Cruise!!

This was our 3rd Celebrity Cruise but the first one on a Millennium class ship. We had 3 nights in Vancouver prior to the cruise which we enjoyed very much - a truly lovely city. Embarkation was a disaster. There were 3 ships at Canada place so it was never going to be easy but the distinct lack of organisation and notable absence of Celebrity staff caused chaos. Thankfully we were early and ...

THE SHIP: This is our third cruise with Celebrity, after many cruises on Royal Caribbean. As it was our first cruise on a Millennium-class ship, I was looking forward to the newly-Solsticized Millie. Celebrity seems to have done a good job with the process -- adding new venues, but leaving the classic features (like the T-pool) intact. We booked one of the "Sweet Sixteen" cabins, forward on deck ...

A beautiful ship with a GREAT crew

BACKGROUND: This was my 3rd Celebrity cruise and 11th overall. I had been on the Millennium's sisters, Infinity and Constellation, previously so this ship had a familiar feel right from the start. TRAVEL: I flew into YVR direct from the US east coast on Air Canada arriving 10AM the morning of departure. I was offered a Celebrity transfer to ship at baggage claim but declined when I found I ...

Our west coast cruise began with a long flight from the oppressive heat of Florida to cooler temperatures in Vancouver, BC. We arrived at midnight, caught the Hampton's shuttle to their airport hotel and quickly fell asleep to thoughts of our cruise on the beautiful Millennium. Up early and an easy walk to the Sky Train for our 40 minute ride to Canada Place where we began the boarding process. It ...

Just returned from the Sept. 17th "Wine Cruise" aboard the Millie. First, let me say we had a lovely vacation with good friends. Stayed one night pre-cruise at the Pan Pacific and could not believe the convenience of staying right at the cruise ship terminal. After affixing our Celebrity luggage tags, we called for a bell hop who would see that our luggage was loaded on the ship. We then took an ...

We were attracted to this cruise bu the twelve day length and a very unique itinerary. Port of calls included Nanaimo B.C., Victoria B.C., Seattle WA, Astoria OR, San Francisco CA(two days), Monterey CA and Catalina Island (Avalon CA). This was labeled as a "wine cruise" because each port stop has an excursion to a winery. It was also the first leg of repositioning the ship to the Carribean. ...

This is the first time we tried Celebrity Cruises. We liked the itinerary for this ship. 12 nights starting in Vancouver, B.C. and visiting Nanaimo, B.C., Victoria, B.C. Astoria, Oregon, Seattle, Washingotn, San Francisco (2 nights), Monterey, California, and Catalina, California disembarking in Los Angeles. We really enjoyed the ports at each stop. The shore excursions were fantastic. We have ...
