Best Cruise Ever

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Miracle

Enjoyed a relaxing 16 day repositioning cruise from Vancouver, BC around Hawaii and back to Long Beach, Ca. Cruised with 3 other couples, all 60's - early 70's - the median age of passengers was 65, so we were happy to fit the profile. Best of all, the ship wasn't overrun with unruly brats or drunks! Mostly fit, happy retirees - a number of whom were from Canada and the UK. We had not been to ...

My husband and I had a great cruise meeting many wonderful people from all over the US, Canada and Europe. The Miracle is an older ship and has a few rough spots but looked clean and neat all over the ship. Our cabin (7202) boasts an extended balcony which was lovely but due to the location, blocked a bit of the view looking forward. Our steward, (Barwana) was attentive and excellent. With 10 sea ...

I've noted several other recent Miracle cruisers recently posting about the ship's propulsion issues, and felt obliged to post what I know. We had a marvelous two week cruise to Hawaii this past September. As we booked AFTER the formal announcement by Carnival (which I found weeks after I'd booked anyway), we didn't get offered any partial refunds or other compensation - but the iteniary had been ...

Once again carnival surpassed my expectations by far making this one of the best cruises I have been on out of the 16 cruises I have sailed on. We travelled from London to Vancouver on Virgin Atlantic which was a very pleasant flight with great service. Highly recommended. On reaching Vancouver we took a cab to executive vintage hotel near gas town for a one night stay. We got to hotel around ...

Cast of Characters (and that is quite an understatement): DH - just semi retired Myself DS DDIL Two grandsons, ages 3 and 1 We had previously taken a transatlantic cruise with our son, DIL, and the oldest grandson when he was 18 months old. Emboldened by that great experience, we decided to do it again, only with two small children instead of one. Insane? You make the call. We rented a car ...

This was our second sailing with Carnival, the prior was a ten-day Mexican coast cruise on the Spirit two years ago. My wife and I have sailed five times with Princess, five with Holland American and once with RCL. In my opinion Carnival is a "good value for your money" cruise line for the most part. For some aspects of the cruises I've done with them I would rate them equal with other lines, but ...

This was only our second cruise with Carnival, the first being 10 years ago on a 4-nt. Fascination cruise. We've sailed many times on most of the other lines - HAL, RCCL, Princess, Celebrity - and were a bit apprehensive of this cruise based on some of the negative publicity of Carnival recently. Well, now we know why it's labeled "The Fun Ship"! We loved this trip, even though the crossing over ...

Carnival Miracle - Disco meets Bordello

We have just returned from a repositioning cruise on the Miracle. We had great fun and met great people. The staff, especially dinner crew and room stewards were great. The dining room looked like disco meets bordello disaster! What was not so great was the buffet at Horatios. The area was poorly designed with food or drink centers at high traffic areas. Food areas were placed here and there ...
