It was memorable

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on MV Swell

Worth the price I paid - NO. Worth a 7 day excursion - NO. Did I get what I was looking for - NO not even close. At the office I couldn't decide Haida Qwaii or Great Bear. I wanted nature and was told this was the trip. I love hiking in the Victoria area and wanted to walk / hike in relatively undisturbed forests. What greater place than Great Bear! And I was told there was one cabin ...

So good to be back to cruising!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Orion

We choose this itinerary because we desperately wanted to go on a cruise, but we wanted to avoid the stress of cruising in Europe with the ever present fear of being quarantined. For us, on this cruise, the ship was the destination, and we were not at all disappointed. The ship was beautiful, the crew were all amazing, and our cabin was perfect. The food that we had onboard was all wonderful, ...

Getting Back on Board

After waiting through the Covid delays, we were finally able to get back on Viking. We had two trips canceled due to pandemic. It was nice to start with a basically “American “ itinerary. Therefore not having to deal with various countries’ requirements. Weather issues caused us to miss two ports. Totally understandable. It’s a risk of cruising. Impressed that we had quality ...

Astonishing wildlife and historic culture in comfort hours from the city

The British Columbia coast hosts UNESCO cultural sites (Haida G’waii), abundant accessible wildlife sighting (Wild Coast Vancouver island) and deep access into the largest protected temperature rain forest on earth (Great Bear Rain Forest). Maple Leaf Adventure’s renovated steel catamaran Cascadia runs week long trips for up to two dozen passengers in these and more. I’ve been on all three ...

The best cruise EVER!

The best cruise we’ve been on so.. The entertainment was first rate especially the Viking Oaseas band and singers. We danced away the evening virtually every night. The specialty restaurants are included without extra charge. The Chefs Table had great local cuisine with a menu change every three days. The new observation deck included some interesting shows, our favorite was the Artic sky. ...

We are in our mid fifties, very active, and chose this 23 day cruise because of the itinerary. It is a repositioning cruise, with 9 sea days. I was a bit nervous that I'd be bored during the sea days. In fact, I wish we'd had more of them! The ship is beautiful. There are relaxing places to hide away, yet plenty of activities if you wish to be social. Make sure to do your research about ...

One of the best trips we have ever taken.

Although we did complete the evaluation form given to us onboard the Explorer, when we got home from the Epic 80* trip, we wished we had said more. That expedition was absolutely one of the best trips we have ever taken. Russ Evans, the expedition leader, did everything he could to maximize our exposure to spectacular wildlife and landings. As promised, he woke us during the night when there ...

Mid- luxury on small ship fabulous

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Regatta

We chose this ship because of the itinerary and small number of passengers. The staff, the dining, the communication during the trip, the cabin ( bed and linen) were all excellent. The shore excursions offered by the cruise line are expensive and if you are prepared to investigate tours yourself or walk down to the dock and take a chance on a tour, then they are at least 30% cheaper. The ...

Navigator not up to Regent standards

We are Gold level society members on the Regent Cruise Line and are loyal customers. But sailing on the Navigator has given us second thoughts about ever sailing on Regent again. We spent 31 days on the Regent Navigator traveling from Vancouver to Alaska with our final destination at New York. Our observations of this ship is as follows: 1. The vibration on this ship is unacceptable and is ...
