Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Viking Orion

We have been on maybe a dozen cruises, including Royal Caribbean, Princess, Cunard (QE2), Holland America, and mostly Seabourn (5 times). We have taken a Viking river cruise which we didn't particularly care for, but this was our first Viking ocean cruise. We got a great deal, including RT airfare, and decided to try what everyone seems to be raving about. The Orion is the most beautiful and ...

Just returned from our cruise on Grand Princess, round trip from Vancouver, we have nothing but praise for the staff, they are all helpful and friendly, especially Thanaya and I Wayan in Da VInci Resturant. We had booked 4 excursions with Princess - we had problems with them all, we will think twice about wasting our money next time. Los Angelos: The bus was 1 hour late turning up at the pier ...

Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Zaandam

This was a trip to a) get on the water in a ship once again and b) see how HAL's Zaandam shaped up for a trip we are planning on later.Canada Place: Embarkation and get off went very smoothly. Nothing unusual. I tried my Nexus card instead of passport and it worked. Bit more slowly cause number had to be entered on lap top at check-in and attendant completely unfamiliar with procedure and ...

Just off the Zaandam in the Pacific SouthwestWanted to knock out a short review of this little 3-day cruise we just disembarked from this morning. Hadn't been on a ship in more than a year after disembarking in Hong Kong in March 2010 so we were desperate to get back aboard. Our best buddies Bob and Judy suggested this one with an overnight at their place the night before and we jumped at it. ...

We booked the 3-night Pacific Coastal cruise from Vancouver BC to Victoria BC, Astoria, Oregon, and back to Seattle. We live in Astoria, so that was one of the reasons for taking this particular itinerary. This is the second time we've done this cruise, both times on Oosterdam. This was our 17th cruise, second for HAL. We've sailed with Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Holland America. ...

We were a party of 21 going on a 3 day Pacific Coastal cruise on board Norwegian Sun. Most of us had not cruised with Norwegian before. We had 2 sets of grandparents in their early seventies, 3 sets of middle aged parents with 3 University students, one 15 yr old High school daughter and a 7 year old who had not cruised before. The other members of our group were female, travelling without their ...

Radiance of the Seas Review: September 16, 2006 Pacific Northwest Cruise My husband and I departed from Vancouver, British Columbia on September 16, 2006 on a seven night Pacific Northwest one-way repositioning cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas; a relaxing voyage calling on Nanaimo and Victoria in British Columbia, Astoria Oregon and San Francisco. Our final destination was ...

This was our first cruise since 1991 (Royal Princess-Caribbean). In 15 years there have been many amenities added, all welcomed. After reflecting for four weeks after disembarking in Los Angeles, I must say that this cruise was equal in satisfaction, but not that much better. Memories fade in that time but the new features were somewhat offset by some drawbacks this cruise. This was a ...

We sailed from Vancouver on September 16; a beautiful, sunny day. Embarkation went very smoothly, we arrived at 11:30 and were on board and in the Horizon Court for lunch by 12:00 P.M. Princess had embarkation lines according to Deck, so it was quite well organized. The ship is gorgeous, and probably the cleanest and best maintained ship we have sailed on. All areas were immaculate. Our cabin ...

Pre-cruise: Since Vancouver is a long hike from the East Coast, we came in a day early to enjoy Vancouver and make sailaway stress-free. We chose the Marriott Pinnacle (Marriott points) and give it the highest recommendation. We met 18 other members of our CC Roll Call for dinner and that set the stage for an excellent cruise. A great harbor front room, terrific service, and a wonderful breakfast ...
