This was a once in a life time experience and I can now say I have visited all seven continents. I chose Swan Hellenic because of the size of the ship and their expertise in expedition cruising. I was definitely not disappointed. The ship is beautiful with one of the best laid out staterooms I've ever been in. There is an abundance of storage, a fireplace, USB ports and both American and ...

The Swan Hellenic is well managed, the rooms on board are luxurious and comfortable, the service is good, and the expedition team has good experience and is very satisfied. Friends of Swan Hellenic cruise ship spoke highly of the experience on the Antarctic Peninsula, so I chose SH cruise ship to "Antarctic Peninsula + polar circle". The ticket is a price full package, cost-effective, the ship ...

Incredible experience! The excursions were so special and the ship was beautiful with art and natural decor everywhere. There was a big focus on education, conservation, and safety (there were 2 staff emergency drills during our two week trip). The staff was top notch, from the diverse expedition team to the exceptional staff. Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful and personable. Someone was ...

Always wanted to visit the Antarctic. This cruise exceeded my dream as to the quality of the ship, itinerary, crew, food and naturalist. The trip across the Drake Passage was not as rough as I expected. The ship handled the 10-12 foot waves very well but did have some roll when they exceeded that height. The food was outstanding and the service from all the staff was exceptional. Much better ...

What a simply AMAZING adventure aboard a simply AMAZING ship with a simply AMAZING staff. From start to finish, our expectations were exceeded through the efforts of the staff, the amenities onboard and from the incredible landscape of Antartica. Learning more about glaciers, wildlife and weather from such a knowledgeable science team was the icing on the cake. And, when can you see the ...

Cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula was amazing! The ever-changing scenery was the constant throughout the entire cruise. Every day we saw icebergs of every shape and size imaginable. Snow covered mountains and glaciers were everywhere. We saw countless humpback whales – whales that were logging, diving, feeding alongside their young, and even breaching! The water is so clear that as ...

Going to Antarctica is a once in a lifetime adventure. Atlas Ocean Voyages did a great job making this a trip to remember. The ship staff was friendly and helpful. The cruise director, Marla, was unbelievable. By the second day she knew very one's name. She was especially engaged with the solo passengers making sure they were staying involved. She even hosted a table with solo passengers for ...

My choice of Ultramarine centred around the idea of maximising activities / landings during my time in Antarctica, and to enjoy comfort for what is most likely a once in a lifetime trip. It did not disappoint. This was an exceptional experience and voyage, that may be the best travel experience I’ve had. My trip involved a night in Buenos Aires and a charter flight to Ushuaia. While I ...

The trip of a lifetime

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on National Geographic Resolution

Our enthusiasm to go Antarctica was high — we couldn’t wait to see the ice, the penguins, whales, and other wildlife — and our hopes were more than met: the place is beautiful almost beyond words, and its fragility is a reminder to all of us to be better stewards of our planet. But the crew and staff of the NG Resolution made our trip even better than we anticipated. They took immense care with ...

We had been looking for a trip to Antarctica for years. We always thought it would be a post-retirement, most expensive trip we'd ever take. Then we found this trip with Swan Hellenic. We researched them and read great reviews, but it still sounded too good to be true. The price was well under what we thought our budget for this trip would be, and we were even able to add an extension at the end ...
