We took the week-long ‘Dutch Delights’ cruise from Amsterdam and back, via the IJsellmeer inland sea and both large and small rivers. This ‘Generations’ cruise had several sizeable family groups with well-behaved kids, a change from the usual mix of retirees.
We particularly enjoyed visiting the pretty small towns in Friesland and the rural far south of The Netherlands. Amsterdam is probably ...
We were originally on the Amsterdam to Basel 8/21. This cruise canceled, due to historic low water levels. I had been calling and emailing Uniworld to ask if the trip was going. We were informed that there was rain forecasted and that the sailing was a "go". We flew to London a few days prior and decided to take Eurostar, as we had heard of the horror stories of the Amsterdam airport. The night ...
We have cruised with Uniworld two other times on the Danube mostly with some time on the Main River
This cruise was quiet with only a limited number of excursions compared to the other cruises we took with Uniworld
Embarkation and disembarks was smooth and very nice
The layout of the boat was fine but the « fitness « room was so tiny and crowded that I was lucky no one ever wanted to use ...
We thoroughly enjoyed our Avignon to Lyon cruise on the Uniworld S.S. Catherine. We picked this itinerary first and then selected the cruise line our TA thought would offer the best experience.
There were more hits than misses on this cruise. Overall the cruise was well managed by Uniworld with the total ship experience, itinerary, food, excursions and crew at the top of the experience ...

I traveled on SS Catherina last year and the Standard of the Isabella is not of a similar quality

The staff were marvellous and the drinks well chosen and plentiful I like having a a served evening meal
The food was fresh and we had some lovely Portuguese dishes
The small venues we visited were ...
We contracted this cruise with others through a common travel agent and received great value. The rooms on the 3rd level are quite small, requiring my wife and I to signal each other as to where we were headed in the room in order to make space for us to pass. There is sufficient closet space, few drawers, a good safe, and interestingly the wall covers have a foam base which eliminates all noise ...
This was our 3rd Uniworld river cruise and our 6th river cruise overall. We have enjoyed every river cruise we have ever taken, but have stayed with Uniworld after our travel agent recommended that we switch to them. Uniworld's service is wonderful.
The excellent service starts the moment you get within eyesight of the embarkation area. The crew take your luggage and usher you onboard to a ...
Having heard Uniworld was supposed to be a large cut ahead of the rest, I decided to explore Spain and Portugal on a cruise tour from Madrid to Lisbon. The tour director and organization of the sightseeing were outstanding. The Duoro River is definitely not a tourism area, so there was no local entertainers; in fact, there was nothing to do after dinner. Women would dance together in the lounge. ...
First the good news. The chefs did a great job with the three meals each day. I avoid fish on cruises as I have yet to find any that is and this cruise was no different. Desserts were always superb. The cabin was crowded but tolerable.
The bad news. The oldest waiter in the dining room and lounge refused to serve me a beverage by ignoring me on two accessions. When I complained I got a ...
