What a fantastic itinerary on the Rhine River and I just loved this ship! She is small and compact but brings the destination on board with local meals and local wines. I would recommend this itinerary for anyone who wants to see lots of small towns and villages in Europe. The crew on our cruise were outstanding and the attention to detail in the dining room was very impressive. Our waitress ...
Our cruise was great value. The "Marie Antoinette / Louis VI" decor was good fun - lots of mirrors and gold, like Versailles.
Restaurant and meals were excellent, drinks unlimited, service great.
We had the lowest deck cabin, with just a high window, but it was fine. We spent all our free time on deck, or the lounge etc. I wouldn't pay more for a French Balcony or Full Balcony, on this or ...
My wife and I just returned from our second Uniworld cruise. The first was on the S.S. Catherine going from Lyon to Avignon in 2016. It was excellent and initially we were a bit concerned that the Castles along the Rhine (Amsterdam to Basel) cruise might not live up to our experience in the south of France. But it certainly did!
We spent 4 days in Amsterdam before boarding the S.S. ...
This was the first cruise for our party of four. We traveled with close friends and both couples were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. We flew into Basel a day early and stayed at Hotel Spalentor, right outside the historic gate to the old city. This was a reasonably priced hotel with large, modern, clean rooms and a nice breakfast included. It was easy to walk throughout historic ...
I was desperate for information about Uniworld, and this particular itinerary, after we booked more than a year in advance. So, I'll do my best to review and help others out.
After having been on several ocean cruises, our first impression was "wow, this is really small!! lol We identified our luggage next to the coach, then some of us checked in, but instead of standing in line, Ken and I ...
we have friends who have traveled on Uniworld and had great experiences cruising Uniworld,...it was far more than we expected. The crew, service, food, excursions, entertainment & ports of call were awesome...my wife fell in our hotel the afternoon before we were to board our ship for our two week Rhine Castle River Cruise and broke a bone in each foot..we weren't sure if she would be able to do ...
This was our second Uniworld cruise after having gone on the Danube River cruise last year. Uniworld offers top of the line service with professional, pleasant and attentive staff along with excellent shore excursions, onboard entertainment and fine dining. The ships are small, serving about 120 guests. We met people from around the world, getting to know lovely new friends from Australia, Canada, ...
First river cruise and we went on Uniworld at the recommendation of our travel agent. The ship was very comfortable and all of the staff were wonderful. They always had a smile on their face and were helpful and happy to be there. They made us feel at home added to the enjoyment of the cruise. The food was delicious (breakfast and lunch was typically a buffet) and menu options available for ...
We just returned from a Uniworld 'Castles along the Rhine' River Cruise from Amsterdam to Basel. It was simply wonderful......everything from the ship to the excursions to the attentive staff made it a memorable trip! The SS Antoinette is a beautiful ship & the rooms are spacious. Your suitcases fit under the bed to leave adequate living space. We really were not even in our room that much. The ...
Uniworld gives you the most for your money. They might be a little more expensive then some, but all alcohol and off shore excursions are included in the price. Had a choice of 2 or 3 different excursions which was nice. The ports we stopped in were all within walking distance of the town if you wanted to spend the day on your own. Service, food, cabins unbelievable. The weather was a little ...
