Our first European river cruise with anybody and we're glad we chose Uniworld, and specifically, the "Legendary Rhine and Moselle" cruise on the River Queen. From the time of boarding to the time of departure for the Basel airport, the service provided by the crew was fantastic...rarely are you pampered to this degree. It was a 9 hour time difference for us to adjust to, which took a few days, ...
This was my second cruise with Uniworld. The ship River Queen was beautiful. Fully renovated but kept its good bones. Activities offered each day were well planned and extremely interesting to me for the historic value. Ample time given to those who wanted to shop. You were never intimidated into joining if you did not want too.
Service on this ship was excellent. Every person on the crew was ...
This trip was to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The Cruise was Castles along the Rhine. From the minute we boarded the Ship we were impressed by the boat, staff and accommodations. The food was excellent with some of the best wines going. The lounge and entertainment were comfortable with a nice selection of liquors. The cabin was immaculate as was the bathroom facilities. We opted for ...
My wife and I took a river cruise called Castles along the Rhein. And they were not kidding. The view from the boat was amazing. the castles were so beautiful. you could also see the small villages. it was our first time to Europe and first time on a cruise. It was the best experience. Our cabin was nice and roomy We were on the third level. we had a huge window that you could open and ...
We spent two glorious weeks sailing from Amsterdam to Vienna on the River Duchess. The ship was beautifully appointed from our lovely state room to the public common areas such as the lounge and formal dining room. The service was top notch in every way from housekeeping to the serving staff in the dining room. Our cruise director Heiner was a gentleman's gentleman and saw to every detail of our ...
I spent 33 days in Europe in October 2015, mostly on Uniworld's River Duchess, sailing an itinerary known as the "Grand European River Voyage." This itinerary (which will be changed for 2016) starts in Amsterdam and sails the Rhine River, the Main River, the Main Canal and the Danube River, and ends in Bucharest Romania, with included air from Bucharest to Istanbul, Turkey. When the 3-day (2 ...
Our first Uniworld cruise (Castles on the Rhine) was our last. It was overpriced, the food was worse than a hospital patient on a bland diet gets and our "suite w butler" was barely larger than the lowest category stateroom and we never saw a butler. They advertise more staff to guests (~120) ratio tho we consistently have received better service on the Allure/Oasis of the Seas w 6000 guests. ...
We loved our Mosel and Rhine river cruise on Uniworld's River Queen. Seeing Roman ruins, castles, cathedrals and the beautiful villages was amazing. The 13 days was full of wonderful excursions and wine tastings. The boat, food and staff exceeded our expectations. Staff treat you like royalty! They had great local entertainment during the evening! Uniworld goes the extra mile by assisting you to ...
This was our first river cruise (actually, our first cruise of any kind, as the whole idea of cruising on anything larger than a sailboat never really appealed to us). We enjoyed it so much, we've already scheduled our next trip with Uniworld.
Everything was top-notch, from the included excursions to the food and service. It was especially refreshing not to be nickled and dimed for drinks, ...
We booked with Uniworld in a suite, category 1, room 403. The food was excellent, butler extremely efficient. The staff was just working.
I'm not sure why they started this cruise knowing the river was low in certain sections and may not be able to complete the full trip due to low water levels.and that was the problem in a nutshell. Disregarding the desires of their clients. Guess they ...
