"The overall experience was Poor to reasonable; they seem to have less staff and the ship had the feeling of a ferry (Sorry Marella), the lack of attention to detail was shocking the bar service around the pool was almost non-existent, the other bars made cocktails with squash as opposed to juice not funny when you pay for a premium drinks package.I have been cruising with Marella/TUI since the Celebration days and have been to Cuba/Barbados/Europe so have a reasonable expectation what to expect and genuinely normally enjoy cursing with them...."Read More

1-10 of 31 Mediterranean Marella Discovery 2 Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
Ive just back last night from a cruise on this ship. Granted it was my 1st cruise, so my opinion might not mean much to some people. There a several great tings about this cruise and a few negatives. The ship itself was very nice, just big enough to find your way around after a day or so. Although it looked tired in some places, it was very well maintained. ALL
10/10 The staff were quite ...
With 30+ cruises under my belt as a travel writer I hope this will be helpful. Cruise companies around the world are cost cutting to retrieve cash lost during Covid, and this was blatently obvious on the latest adventure on Marella Discovery 2. Allegedly an "all inclusive" cruise, TUI levied daft charges for small bottles of water, charged for room service, relied on port authorities to provide ...
We wanted a luxury cruise for our 25th anniversary
What we got was the following
Great transfers really smooth and helpful
Amazing staff in all areas of the cruise who genuinely wanted to help and make it a special holiday
Very average food across the board , same old food every day
Lots of catering for English with Pies/Roasts, Hardly any fresh fruit
Pool was so small ...
This was our first cruise with Marella. The ship was clean and we'll maintained, the waiting staff and cabin stewards work very hard and we had no issue with them.
Food was poor quality and often overcooked, dry and tasteless. Choices were sometimes limited at breakfast, the only consistently good choice was the omelette station. Portions were small in the Gallery 47 and 47 restaurants, some ...
We have cruised many times with Marella, but this repositioning transatlantic cruise was awful!.
The cruise was an ambition for my wife and I, but right from the start, the whole experience was a farce, 1st we got an email saying our flight had been changed - it hadn't.
When we arrived at the cruise terminal in Palma, we had to queue for nearly 2hrs to get on the ship, the staff offered us ...
29/10/22 Transatlantic Discoveries Cruise, 17 nights, Palma to Jamaica. Having cruised for nearly 20 years (& done several similar transatlantic cruises on both Thomson & P & O), sadly this was not the best cruise experience because of the 10 sea days, 6 days being consecutive. In the past we’ve found the sea days very relaxing but not this time because we experienced the worst daily sunbed ...
We went on a transatlantic cruise to the Caribbean on board Marella Discovery2 in October / November 2022.
What was good about the cruise:
* The ship visited all the ports on the dates and times advertised.
* The cabin was excellent and the stewards were friendly and looked after us well.
* A wide variety of free entertainments was available on board - theatre shows, line dancing, ...
Booked a Med cruise in 2021 for July 2022 and was really disappointed after experiencing a fabulous time on a Marella Far East cruise just before the first lockdown. It was clearly apparent that they were trying to claw back lockdown losses. We only ate at the Islands Buffet Restaurant, as we had eaten at the speciality restaurants previously, so just went buffet. On a 2 week cruise, we did not ...

I would like to have given this cruise a higher rating but there are some matters that need to be addressed mainly which occurred before and after the cruise. When you book this cruise TUI advise that you download their TUI app but when you do so you soon realise that the TUI app is not applicable to Morella cruises. You will also receive a lot of paperwork re TUI but not necessarily about ...
