This was our sixth transatlantic cruise, the second on the Getaway and our eighth overall on an NCL vessel. Our cruise and the Getaway were par-for-the-course meeting expectations. No surprises or unexpected disappointments...It's one of the big ships with all the competitive bells & whistles. The staterooms & bathrooms are clean, somewhat spacious, comfortable and practical. A shortage of ubs ...
As I said in my title, you get what you pay for. The ship is getting on and looks a little faded in parts. The food is nowhere the level you would otherwise expect on a cruise. But hey, you get what you pay for. What I don't understand is why people who come on having paid a P&O price, expect a Regent Seven Seas service. This is an adult only ship which quite naturally attracts a fair amount of UK ...
We were on the Silhouette for our first transatlantic cruise. Was wonderful! The ship is beautiful, food in Blu and the buffet was consistently great, and staff were very friendly. After 11 nights, we still felt the food variety was excellent.
Our stateroom attendant was the best! Gym is perfect and has everything you need.
I was surprised to read some of the other reviews because our ...
We were staying in Southampton at the Moxy hotel for four nights prior to our Transatlantic cruise. It was windy and rainy, but nothing compared to storm Babet which was battering Scotland. The opposite side of the system whipped up waves along the Iberian Peninsula, having an impact on the prior Silhouette sailing. Some folks who were doing back-to-back alerted us to a likely delay long before ...
Lots of odd things brought this cruise down starting with the rather strange layout of the ship, the change to main dining times with both being brought forward 30 minutes, the very noisy main dining rooms thanks to the DD layout and of course the redirection of the ship due to hurricane Tammy. Boarding at Southampton was efficient as ever, Vigo was wet, I stayed on in Lisbon, the Canary Island ...
PREFACE
Although this is mostly a review of anthem of the seas and excursions taken during the cruise, i have included information on activities pre-cruise. The information about the land-based portion are integral to the trip because you may visit one or more of those locations before or during a cruise you take. I hope the information provided throughout this article will be helpful to you. ...
We selected this cruise as we wanted to see London. Good price and high obc. Princess continues to go downhill. Main dining room is bland. Desserts are repetitive. Buffet sausages taste like cardboard. Liquid eggs are used. The head waiter said he’d get me omelet made with fresh eggs. Shouldn’t have be like that . Pastries are frozen, some hadn’t been thawed out. The other head waiter told me it ...
Overall, we had a fabulous cruise for 16 days from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale with excellent stops in France, Spain and Portugal.
As my cabin mate has a cane and is Elite, we were put in a faster queue for boarding, which went extremely well.
The Regal Princess is a stunning ship! I especially enjoyed midship on Decks 15 and 16 where you can see the front and rear of the ship from one ...
As a first time cruiser from South Africa, our family did the European cruise which was absolutely amazing from the ports we stopped at and being on the ship as a family. We enjoyed our time together although we were shocked at all the additional service fees charged from mandatory daily service fees (on top of an all inclusive package) as well as purchasing anything onboard e.g. a coke is ...
My husband and i have been cruising for over 30 years and our experience with cunard was the absolute worst. we would never sail with them again nor would we recommend them to anyone.
Our issues with the line began well before the cruise departed. their web site is difficult to navigate and provides only the minimal amount of information. our cruise fare included a beverage package and a ...
