Excellent Service, Food Needs Improvement

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

This was our 45th cruise overall and our 3rd time on Seabourn. Seabourn is our favorite line because of the conviviality of our fellow passengers. We were traveling with family and all of us had a good time, relaxing, enjoying an excellent level of service, attentive but not fussy. It was an Atlantic crossing, but there were enough activities on board, including some very good enrichment ...

1 -At the pier, we were directed to the wrong line to begin check-in (not a good omen). There were 6 stations, where each NCL person had a paper printout of 2,000 people to flip through to find our names (oh,boy). 2 - Room sounds as if the storm is inside. Steward explained, in a somewhat miffed tone, that we did not push the handle hard enough. DL cannot do this, Ken will need to help. We ...

Exceeded my expectations!

Solo traveler...I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Partially blocked oceanview cabin was a delight...larger than cabins on newer ships. Stewards were awesome as were all staff. I was on Deck 8 midship...perfect location. Spent an overnight in Lisbon before embarkation...loved it. Lisbon is a beautiful hilly city that requires some stamina...but worth the effort. Embarkation was a breeze. Food was ...

An Average, Enjoyable Transatlantic Cruise

We chose this cruise as we wanted to experience a transatlantic crossing. This itinerary suited us as Portugal is a country we had not been to, and we wanted to visit New York again. We are Platinum Latitude members and after sailing on a few other cruise lines we prefer the NCL Freestyle experience and Speciality Dining options. We do not like the bigger ships and mainly choose a cruise based ...

I chose this cruise to visit the ports (Cartagena, Malaga, Cadiz in Spain and Lisbon and Funchal in Portugal). Unfortunately due to weather and a pilot boat strike in Portugal the only port I visited was Malaga. We then went to the Canary Islands as a contingency plan for two ports (one was five hours long and the other was 12 hours). These ports were not interesting to me. The ship itself was ...

We chose this cruise because a Transatlantic cruise has been on our bucket list, we liked the itinerary, and we had two previous enjoyable cruises on HAL (one on Oosterdam and one on Zaandam). We have been fortunate that all three HAL cruises have been in a Neptune Suite, which is a special experience. This cruise didn't go as planned, because a large storm caused an itinerary change. We had ...

Booked this cruise just a few days before the sailing as a spontaneous way of returning to the states rather than flying. We’d sailed with MSC many times but not since 2016. I don’t know where you could find such horrible poor quality food. I spotted the executive chef onboard and asked why he allows such embarrassingly bad food and his response was a little shocking. He said,”when we get to ...

We enjoy spending time in Europe in the fall and then sailing home on a trans-Atlantic with our preferred lines - Holland America and Cunard. We appreciated the itinerary as it was full of ports we enjoyed . We also greatly enjoy the ambience on HAL ships. We boarded without issue at Barcelona , concluding ten wonderful days in Spain. The ship was spotless and remained so through our 15 days ...

Exceptional Crossing

We wanted to experience a few days in Rome before boarding the ship for our trip back to Miami. Ezplorer is one of our favorite ships. Perfect size and great service. Our favorite cruise director, Hello Clo and our favorite head waiter, Gianni were there to greet us when we boarded. We took early dining and had the best waiter and assistant waiter. Artha and Ayu--married from Bali. The lecture ...

My first crossing

After more than 50 cruises (even because I am a retired ship auditor), this was my first crossing, which we decided to take because my son-in-law is one of the ship's officers and my daughter and grandson were together on this trip. We boarded the ship at Rome-Civitavecchia and disembarked at Miami 13 days later. I've been on board this ship many times for shipboard audits and I know well ...
