Very disappointed

Review for a Asia Cruise on Regatta

This was our first time on an Oceania ship. Friends had said they were very good and considered a "higher level" cruise line. Was really looking forward to the trip. We did a 14 day portion of the 77 day trip from LA to Sydney. The hotels chosen by Oceania for before and after cruise stay in Tokyo and HK were wonderful. However there was a confusion re bus number on embarkation day to take us ...

My husband and I just returned from the Silver Whisper in Japan. A little background, we have over 25 cruises under our belts including 5 since Covid ended, this cruise being our 6th post-Covid. We have cruised Seabourn, Oceania, Viking, Azamara, and suites on Royal, NCL, and Celebrity as well as regular rooms on Princess and Royal. The Great The food quality and preparation were excellent ...

Seemed Like Absentee Leadership

This was a strange mixture of everything from perfect to intolerable on a small ship luxury voyage. One perfect part was the “door-to-door” performance, cost is a different matter, but performance was perfect. The limo transfers at home, via BlackLane, were on time and the drivers were excellent. The transfer from Haneda to the Tokyo Conrad was also perfect. The Conrad was an excellent ...

Very Disappointing, not value for

Not value for a 5/6 stars cruise. First, the cabin is outdated and lack of maintainence. The shower room is very small and full of watermark at the edge. Very unpleasant. The bathtub is good size but yellowish. No one want to soak in such an old bathtub. The carpet is not flat. Absolutely needs replacement. You can see broken stage in the Show Lounge, I only came there for safety brief. I ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Diamond Princess

My wife and I chose this cruise for two reasons. We had never been to this part of the world, and we had never been on a Princess cruise. The ports that we were seeing seemed great, parts of the world like Singapore or Vietnam, that we may never go to if not for this cruise. I had read the the ship had just been refurbished in February of 2019, but I would be hard pressed to see that. I found ...

Terrible Dining Arrangement

Cruise embarkation is a bliss. However they mess up the dining time. I book for 5:30pm, and everything is triple confirm with the princess cruise staff during bookings. I am travelling with 2 kids aged 7 and 2 lovely moms 70 years old. They put us at 7:45pm which is a so so no for Asian. I went to the customer service to check on this, and I was given those ( get out of here face and ...

The Diamond has lost her lustre!

The cruise was chosen so we could see most of Japan with the convenience of a cruise...perhaps we would have been better off using the rail system itself. Getting to our hotel from Haneda easily accomplished by riding the airport bus....45 min door to door, ¥1,350/person...Yokohama was worth spending a few days exploring before boarding. We explored easily on our own and the rail/subway system ...

I chose this cruise because of the numerous ports around Japan during the fall when we were supposed to observe the leaves changing colors. We were in Tokyo before 3 times and we were looking forward to see the small port cities were the ship was going to dock. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The ship is an old ship built in 2004, mainly for Japanese customers as per one of ...

Very poor service

Review for a Asia Cruise on Silver Muse

We took the Silverseas Muse because the Cruise Professionals recommended the ship and the company. We have been a loyal Crystal customer, but they didn’t offer a cruise around Japan. First off the Muse is a beautiful ship and the food is good. My problem is the staff and crew are incredibly poorly trained and clueless on customer service. They advertise butler service, but forget it, they won’t ...

I’m Missing P&O

You would think that a ship updated solely for the Japan market would do Japanese-related things (restaurants, food and menu, ports of call) well. No such luck. Everything was poorly done - even the extra charge sushi restaurant was artificial. Very disappointing. Also, we were shocked to see that there were very long lines to get into the buffet (Horizon Court). The pool side grill ...
