We recently went on a 14 day cruise in East Asia - it was OK but overall we were somewhat disappointed. Our cabin was good, the cabin attendant, and the dining room waiter were good, and the itinerary was good. But we did not find the actual cruise as enjoyable as a previous one we had done on the Celebrity Infinity along the Inland Passage in Alaska. Although the on board facilities were pretty much the same, but in general we did not get the same degree of enjoyment or satisfaction as the earlier cruise - in particular we thought the quality and standard of food in the cafe and main dining room was generally poor and below the standard of the previous cruise. We took shore excursions at every Port - which were rather tiring, because they left early in the morning and you didn't have time at each place to really absorb the place and to do it at your own pace. That was a lesson we learnt, and no fault of the cruise. We were also concerned about safety drill on board, and how successful an evacuation of the ship would be int the event of such an occurrence - certainly getting passengers getting ashore for excursions, did not always go smoothly, and this should have been routine practice. Except for the food, i could not recommend against Celebrity Millennium, but we would certainly think carefully before going on another such cruise. Two Grey Gypsies. P.S.
