Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

This was my 2nd time on Jewel, after near to 6 years which I had sailed on the same ship in Australia. This time, Jewel was embarked at the new Tokyo International Cruise Terminal. The registration at the terminal was assisted by the local Japanese who are mostly volunteers. The waiting time wasn’t that long, we managed to board the ship within an hour. After a quick buffet lunch at the Garden ...

Going around Asia areas Good arrangement Just be careful the Lang Co resort is not safe We will happy have a fee-transfer to central city from the ship, or local shopping mall, this way is more secure and safer May contact to local Saigon tourists or Viet Travel they are very good reputations in VietNam and may not over charge for their service. Toilets in the room is very old, ...

Love to visit Japan on the Diamond Princess. What a great ship and staff. Also great itineraries. The ship is well maintained for its age. The crew is friendly and accommodating. There were lots of shopping but no one was pushy. Bars are attractive and well staffed. We especially appreciated Skywalkers lounge and views while leaving each port for a pre-dinner drink. Both the Explorers and ...

With a Typhoon to deal with which made the transfer to the ship difficult, a missed first port due to logistical issues we still will say that this cruise became one of the best we have ever experienced! The captain and the crew pulled out all stops to make it so. Their friendly visibility, extra cocktail party put on by the captain went a long way to creating an enjoyable atmosphere, thank you ...

We booked last minute as the cruise was a great price. We had 4 days in Tokyo before the cruise. The weather was very hot and humid but it was good to leave our winter behind for a couple of weeks.we boarded the ship very smoothly only took about 10 minutes. Our balcony cabin was a nice size and very clean. We missed a port and the fireworks were cancelled due to the typhoon. We were given a future ...

Had a great time cruising and visiting various ports around Japan and Busan South Korea. Had a slight change to itinerary courtesy of typhoon Krosa, but the captain made the right call. Safety of the ship, guests and crew must always be the first priority. There was so much history and the Japanese people are such a friendly and courteous nation. My husband celebrated his 70th birthday in ...

We took this cruise as a gentle way to go home to Canada from Japan. (We had done an around Japan cruise with Windstar beforehand) It was very enjoyable, food great, staff lovely, entertainment good. There were alot of sea days together but we got a routine of trivias, podium talks, hot tubs and eating in the day as the weather was too cold to be out on deck much or in the swimming pool. The ...

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We have completed 13 Regent cruises (with 222 nights), and was surprised with a poor review on Cruise Critic from one couple. We were on that same Regent Mariner cruise and had none of the 'problems' described--we adapted to changes that we could not control. Both Regent and we could not control the weather. First--If they did not like their multi-hour air-schedule, it can be ...

Japan - a beautiful country with lovely people

We wanted a cruise around Japan but had no specific ports in mind. This one came up in an email from Princess so we booked it. After we visited a Buddhist temple and the famous fish market in Busan, South Korea, we stopped at 3 smaller cities. First was Sakata and the people of the town welcomed us with open arms - they did performances on the pier and waved goodbye as we left. So touching. Aomore ...
