Party:
2 adults aged 30 and 64, previously cruised three times with Marella (Dream, and Explorer 2 x2), with NCL 4 times (Jade, Breakaway x2 and Prima), and 3 other cruises in the early 00s on now defunct lines. We don't have any disabilities, we didn't use the casino and we didn't travel with kids, so we can't comment on these. If you have read my reviews before you'll know that we cruised ...
We booked a late deal which for the length of cruise was a great price. Slightly worried re an inside cabin however it proved better than port hole/window of the past due to clever use of mirrors creating space. Deck 9 aft amazingly quiet. The turn down service was a luxury with towel animals. Our towels were always thick. We didnt bother with a premium drinks package as our usual drinks were well ...
We've had an amazing time on our 1st Marella cruise and would certainly cruise with them again, may be on one of their adults only ship.
TUI were amazing with their flight from London Luton to Tenerife which went smoothly with no delays and great onboard service. This was followed by excellent organisation of TUI transfers from airport to ship whereby they took your luggage off you at the ...
Passing our local TUI travel agency we noticed a "Manager's special" for this cruise and enquired within. The dates coincided perfectly with the half term school holiday, an inset day, and our daughter's leave week. In addition the second day of the cruise was our granddaughter's birthday and this would be her first flight on an airplane though not her first cruise. The price offered made it a no ...
We have cruised with tui 30ish times, this time on the voyager we were disappointed in the kitchens. The food was very repetative, we never saw a roast or a Yorkshire pudding, the food was the same every day, and the queues at lunch were awful. There has always been a carvery meat. The food in latitude 53 was nice and the waiting staff were fantastic. We never waited long in the evening for a ...
I read some reviews before we went on this ship and was preparing myself for the worst but I needn't have worried it is as good as the other 2 that we have been on Disco2/ Explo2 , different layout to the others imho for the better, yes there are areas that need attention but I read one review where they were moaning about lightbulbs being out, I do believe that if you let negativity kick in then ...
We really enjoyed our time on the Voyager . The new furnishings were lovely and bright and well thought out. Our cabin was clean and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. Cabins are cleaned every day. Staff are friendly always smiling and asking how your day went on your return. The food on board was good and catered for all tastes.
We have been on Marella cruises before and found ...
So this was my first ever cruise and I went with my mother who hadn't had a proper holiday for a very long time. It was all quite exciting as there was a lot to pack in during our time.
The ship was very clean, the staff super friendly and they always say hello to you.
Our cabin in deck 4 was adequate with a nice window view of the sea. The beds were comfortable. We did have a problem with ...
The overall rating of the cruise may sound harsh for the sub ratings but hear me out.
Overall ship:
As others have pointed out, the Marella Voyager has been refurbished but it’s not a new ship. You can see old wood decor and wood ikea-type furnishing in the cabins. The facilities and plumbing appeared to be older but we never had any issues with this.
I don’t know whether it is due to the ...
This was a last minute cruise. Feeling fed up with the British summer, we decided to try the newest ship in the Marella fleet. We have been on all the other ships. We also knew it would be busy with lots of families in board.
Flights and transfer to ship were seamless and very quickly we were in board. We had booked a large balcony cabin, but hadn't selected our cabin number. We were on deck10 ...
