Worst Holiday Ever on this ship total let down would have preferred to stay at home.
First Cruise and the last such a boring ship more like a booze cruise than a holiday booked for Christmas two week Canaries Cruse sheer hell.
Never seen so many people happy it was over.
Never seen so many container ports waking up to banging and crashing most ports it called into not a sandy beach in ...
Just back from a Caribbean cruise from the 3rd to the 18th of December 2019, with the Marella Discovery 2, and I was delighted with this holiday, our cabin was on deck 6, and the cabin crew were fantastic especially Vanessa she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, the entertainment was great throughout the ship, absolutely loved the shows each night, the bar staff and ...
Having cruised only on Discovery, we decided to try Discovery 2 and we are very glad we did!
We flew from Manchester to Malaga and arrived slightly late. We had the usual queueing to check in which did nothing to raise our flagging spirits! As a result our first evening was rather brief... check-in, bar, safely drill, food and bed! Islands Restaurant was very busy and rather chaotic but this ...
This was my first cruise, I was with 3 other people who had been on cruises before but not with tui. I found the whole experience amazing and very worth the money!

- Dindin (Rooms)
- Jamie (DJ)

These staff members made sure we had the best experience by ...
Chose this cruise as it sailed from Tenerife were we live, therefore no flying. We have sailed the Canaries before but still enjoyed it. The Explorer is a nice ship. Very clean, plenty of room around the various bars.
The entertainment was not as good as the Discovery, just the show dancers and one night a comedian, ok nothing to shout about.
We thought the service was better on Discover we ...
We are frequently Cruise and always choose our cruise for the itinerary and as Explorer was the only ship in the canaries at our chosen dates that is the ship we chose. Embarkation was smooth and luggage delivered promptly.
Our first evening we went to dinner in the main dining room Italian section. We put the poor service and the very mediocre food down to the fact it was the first night and ...
Staff and ship lovely. Food is great. Make sure you don't miss out on the tapas as it's amazing and inclusive just make sure to book it on the app. Vista is also a great place to eat especially the carbonara which for just five pounds more is prepared in a giant parmasan wheel at your table and is super tasty. Good service.
What let's it down is the passengers. From threats of physical ...
We thought , why not cruise around the Canary Isles with Madeira thrown in for good measure . We chose a Junior suite no 10015 on 10th floor , impressed with the cabin and facilities ( except a shower cubicle that floods ) Sadly however we quickly realised we were directly under the Gym due to the continuous crashing of the dumbells from the weights onto the floor ( typically from 7AM onwards ) ...
We had cruised with Thomsons several times previously and really enjoyed the friendly, personal touch of their Ships. We had tried several other ones over the years and decided to give Marella a go, so booked a weeks cruise on the Explorer.
Initial impressions were very good...very friendly staff, clean ship, great lounges/bars, spacious inside cabin..all good.
The itinary suited us and even ...
After an uneventful flight from Stansted, when we arrived at Tenerife we were directed by a Tui rep. to leave the airport and turn left.! There we encountered a large crowd whom after asking other passengers were made aware “we” were queueing - for over two hours - for coach transfer to the ship. This was totally unacceptable as we had left home at 06:30. When we eventually got on the correct ...
