Just got back from a terrible week abroad this ship . We went in a group of seven ranging from 2yrs to 60 to celebrate my husband’s 60 birthday .
This was spoiled by all seven of us suffering from severer illness.
This was due to the poor food quality and preparation.
Staff lacked etiquette and serving training ( one staff member stabbed a roll with a fork to serve after trying to sever ...
We travelled with Marella same embarkcation in 2022. Rebooted on the positive journey last year.
The ships hygiene is poor. They don't wipe down tables after use in the Island restaurant (indoor or out) when we spoke to someone they tried to justify the lack of care due to a Customs Inspection on the day. However, whilst they removed dishes quickly, they didn't wipe at all, the entire 7 days ...
Went with Marella to the Caribbean because they included Xmas day and New Years Eve which other cruise lines did not. There was chaos at Birmingham Airport as there were two Tui flights flying to Barbados within twenty five minutes of each other, queued over one and half hours to check bags in. Poorly organised. This then caused queues at Security and on top of that flight nearly two hours delay ...
I'm not a snob, far from it, but some of the clientele need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Not a 'cheap' cruise £7.5K for 2 weeks for two. Outward trip from MAN was awful delayed over 3 hours, usual efficiency on arrival in Barbados. First impressions of the ship, pretty standard for this level of cruise, public area decor pleasantly contemporary. Usual mix of entertainment, cruise director thinks he is a great singer (he is'nt, leave the singing to the entertainers) and would grab the ...
Having booked with friends we paid £50 each to book cabins on the same deck, but on opposite sides. This was based on the theory that one would always have a pleasant view in ports, sunsets etc. Whilst waiting to board we realised despite this, they put us both on the port side and on decks 6 & 7. On boarding we spoke to “Guest Services” who advised that they never change cabins on day one, so if ...
I don't normally write a review post holiday but felt on this occasion it was necessary, to help inform potential customers and for Tui to use for continuous improvement.
We embarked on christmas day and found out that there had been a fire in the engine room transformer. Planet cruise knew but did not make us aware beforhand. The itinerary had not changed on the ticket confirmation received on ...
Our 1st time of Marella and we wont be using them again.
The ship itself is fine as is the food and service. Cabins adequate and quite spacious.
Any trips we did with them were good value.
The entertainment while not as varied as some ships was good. Though the lack of daytime speakers is a loss imo.
The all inclusive did lead to a few drunks on board, one lady disrupted the whole ...
the itineraries were amazing, lots of different places we have always wanted to go
then there was a fire in the engine room transformer which was dealt with quickly but the repercussions were we had to sail at a reduced speed which meant three of our excursions were canceled with an extra two days at sea. The itineraries were the only reason we paid nearly six thousand pounds to spend ...
I chose this cruise because ihad exotic locatopns and it was warm at this tome of the year.
The flight from Gatwick with Tui was fine no problems on time. The presentation of the ship and thr cabin was very gppd. The food and drink selection were very good. The entertainment was good with a lot of effort put in by the entertainment team
Now the bad bit The ship had a technical problem coming ...
