This was our second cruise on Discovery 2 and we rebooted the cabins we had last year.
6533 an inside cabin for our teenage boys. It's a really good inside cabin. Lots of storage and a small sofa in the room as well.
6534 balcony cabin again good size for two of us. Both kept tidy by our cabin steward. Deck 6 is a good position on the ship between the coffee port and the front stair cases ...
Cruise was chosen to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It as our first cruise, but will not be the last. Full marks to Tui for providing a brilliant break. From start to finish, the whole experience went perfectly. Discovery 2 is a great ship, with excellent cabins and onboard facilities, and a crew who never stopped smiling. All of them were friendly and polite, helpful and considerate, especially ...
Staff food cabins shows everything exceeded my expectations all the places we visited were amazing cudnt have asked for more will def do it again loved every minute the entertainment was fantastic the food was amazing the only negative thing I wud say is they need sort out sun lounge situation cud never get one near the pool as people filled them every morning and left the ship all day so that was ...
Met up with friends for this cruise. We all felt standards have dropped. Undercooked and cold food in islands. Much better in 47. Less staff so cleaning in toilets was less often also running out of toilet paper . Too much of demonstrating and upselling of spa treatments.
Sunbed reserving time limits not enforced.
Music volume too loud in all venues.
Smoking areas too small. Let smokers ...
We choose the cruise as the itinerary was great, and thought we'd give Marella a go, we hadn't before.
We usually cruise P&O and there is a world of difference, whilst the staff on board are great and helpful, the service and understand of the staff is very poor. The food is very poor, like a pizza hut buffet but being charged £1000+, the dietary requirements aren't catered for and generally ...
We had a fantastic cruise on board this ship the staff the itinerary were all great , all staff work hard to make ur cruise enjoyable the restaurants are great with great food and service we always went to the same tables round where Charles and Arg served us they were brilliant Charles sorted out for my husband to have a menu delivered to our cabin each night to make sure my husband got his food ...
We were a group of four - a 50+ couple travelling with our 14 year old son and my 80+ mother (with limited mobility).
We selected two, back to back 7 day cruises making a figure 8 from Palma de Mallorca around Portugal, Spain, Italy and Southern France. We chose the ship and Marella (Tui) because it went where we wanted to go when we were able to go - we haven’t cruised with Marella ...
We went with two other couples and had a fabulous time. The food is top quality (as an Irish person, mashed potatoes and custard in the Buffet style restaurant a good yardstick and both were well above par demanding a second visit) and are staff very quick to clear empty plates so no messy tables. Plenty of choices for adults and kids. Visited the 47 restaurant for waiter service evening meal and ...
I chose this cruise ship for our pearl wedding it had been fantastic two years ago. I never thought I would be hungry on a cruise ship but I was the two meals We had in the restaurant were horrendous. The waiter did not know our name like the Tui advert he barely knew our table as he rushed round serving new and present guests. Staff are thin on the ground and we found ourselves queuing at the bar ...
The first thing to note is that whilst this ship is new to Marella it was built in 1994 and in places despite a refit is showing its age. You will need to travel on TUIs German Mein Schiff 1 & 2 if you want brand new ships! It is also a shame the all inclusive bit doesn't start when you step on the very old Boeing 757 plane but then i suppose prices would be higher.
We booked a cabin with a ...
