We choose this cruise for the destinations, we did two weeks back to back Tropical Shores & Cocktail & Coconuts. The destinations didn’t disappoint and Dominica was the highlight.
However the onboard experience was the worst we have ever had. If you don’t mind bad food and like to drink a lot you will probably love it. It felt like Wetherspoons at Sea but that would be doing Wetherspoons ...
Memorable cruise but unfortunately memorable for all the wrong reasons, if you’re looking for a cruise with good food, luxury accommodation, excellent service, then do not book this. Butlins has more quality than this cruise. Food was typical British like Bacon, eggs and baked beans for breakfast. Buffet at dinner had a lot of choice but wasn’t the best quality, cold food and over cooked.

We travelled on the 24th September to Florida to board to Marella Discovery. Firstly, I must say the flight there was delayed by one and a half hours. These things happen, however lack of communication lets you down as no one had a clue what was happening and that was very poor.
Upon arrival, the trip through the airport and the transport to the ship were well organised apart from assistance ...
First Marella Cruise ,It started badly with a cabin move despite booking a deluxe balcony cabin September 2021 we were moved to an alternative deluxe balcony cabin minus sofa coffee table and fridge offered £50 compensation, for cabin change and £50 per person for missing furniture all added to our ship board account ( on an all inclusive cruise ) which we found very difficult to spend. The food in ...
This was our 16th cruise with Thomsom/TUI/Marella and we have been left absolutely disgusted with many aspects of the cruise from start to finish. Our overall summary is that the standard of the Marella cruise has plummeted dramatically in terms of service, cleanliness, food, entertainment and friendliness of staff. We do not intend to travel on a Marella cruise again.
The problems we ...
Me and my husband have just got back from a week's cruise on Marcella Discovery, the Magic of Spain cruise.
It was a disaster from start to finish!
We flew from Doncaster Sheffield airport and due to a power cut we had to stand in the check in queue for 5 hours. The staff were totally unprepared for this incident and updates were poor. Not a good start!
When we arrived on the ship we were ...
We chose TUI because it included their flights to and from Barbados, also we had sailed on this cruise ship a few years ago and had a fairly good cruise. The flight was delayed at Gatwick due to some passengers packing lithium batteries in their hold luggage, all bags had to be off loaded and the offending batteries removed. That caused a delay of well over an hour. The flight was uneventful and ...
We are regulars on cruise holidays and were looking forward to our cruise of Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand as these were all countries we had never visited before and my partner was particularly looking forward to visiting Singapore.
Plus points - the first week was great fun, we met some great people, the staff in restaurants and bars and cleaning and domestic services ...
We were celebrating Birthdays & Special Anniversary. The itinerary included Koi Samui and Cambodia and was the right dates.
Firstly, we have been on many cruises over the years, most higher class but always enjoyed Thomson because of the wonderful service, mainly from the Phillipino and British Staffand their attention to care.
However, this is our 2nd trip on Discovery mainly to give it ...
This was honestly the worst cruise I’ve ever been on. It was truly awful.
I had my two children with me as we couldn’t get away during the summer holidays due to work commitments.
This cruise is not family friendly at all.
1. Not once was the climbing wall open
2. The indoor pool bans kids between 2-5pm covering a good part of the hot part of the day. I pay the same amount of money ...
