The ship is smart and kept clean and tidy. There is a large crew of very efficient staff who are friendly, polite and always willing and available to give top-notch service. We didn't realise that we were going to a holiday camp. In fairness I have to say that the cleanliness, cabins, shows, restaurants and staff service and attitudes were excellent, however we have travelled many times with Thomson and Marella and as soon as they went all inclusive their product became Benidorm. Quite disappointed with Explorer this time around, it is in need of some TLC & yet again standard seem to be slipping with Marella. Food quality is average at best & along with some passengers general etiquette never being challenged by the crew, I believe this will be our last Marella cruise. Voyager was filled to capacity and not capable of catering for this. Impossible to get a sunbed on pool decks for love not money even if you went out at 7am.
