My wife and I have sailed on MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida which are the biggest ships flying the MSC flag and decided at Easter15 to have a week in Santa Cruz, Tenerife and a weeks cruise on the newly refurbished MSC Armonia sailing the Canaries and up to Casablanca.
Looking at other reviews there is a real mixed bag of good and bad re MSC.
We had fantastic cruises on Fantasia and ...
We have just returned from a 7 day cruise on the MSC Armonia from Gran Canaria. The cruise embarkation actually begins in Tenerife and sails to the Canary Islands and Morrocco. The ship is very clean and all of the public areas are well maintained and comfortable. Our cabin 9125 was of a good size and very well furnished with comfortable bedding including a duvet. The bathroom towels were changed ...
we have been on 46. Cruises before this one, embarkation was very good, the first shock came with the cabin, the ship had a section added to the centre of the ship in November,we where allocated a NEW cabin in this section, the wardrobe is 18 wide,my wife managed to get some of her dresses hung in the space, but there was no room to hang any other clothes,my formal night wear was left in our suitcase ...
1st let me give you the good points about this ship, it has been re-modernized and is a lovely ship to look at but i'm afraid that's it.
Now for the bad, We have been on many different cruise lines in the past and have to say that this is the worst by a country mile, the reception staff are unhelpful and struggle to speak English or choose not to understand you,There was a permanent queue of ...
After reading some of the reviews, our expectations were not that high but thought that, for what we were paying, it would be a cheap break. As we were already in Tenerife, we were not part of a large group so Check In was extremely efficient and quick, but unfortunately, no one told us that there was a shuttle to get to the ship, so we had quite a walk along the dockside. We were on board at ...
We booked for the 7th to 14th Feb 2014 cruise embarking in Tenerife. The itinerary included two further Islands in the Canaries and also Casablanca and Agadir. First impressions of the ship were very pleasing everything looked immaculate and very classy, we have cruised before with Holland America line and was not expecting anywhere near the same standard but were pleasantly surprised, we had ...
DH and I are just back from 7 nights on MSC Armonia around the Canary Isles.
We had a very enjoyable cruise and would sail MSC again although not such a small ship as we prefer larger vessels, but this is a personal choice and not a criticism of the Armonia.
Embarkation was different from the norm, but it worked and we were on the ship about 2 hours after landing at Tenerife airport , including ...
We booked last minute and paid £199 each for an inside cabin but were upgraded to an inside which was nice. I think this may have been because we have cruised a dozen times with other cruise lines. Anyway we knew this was a much smaller ship than we were used to so our expectations were not high. Check in was fast and efficient and within 20 minutes of arriving at check in we were in our cabin. ...
We booked this cruise at a week's notice and got a very good deal, especially as we booked our own flights and just paid the cruise only price. We were very dubious about what to expect as many reviews from British travellers were quite negative. However, after seeing the way some of them behaved and especially those who refused to pay any gratuities whatsoever, we felt quite embarrased and even ...
My husband and I have just returned from a 7night Canaries cruise, first piece of advice if you book a private transfer through Travel Republic A2B Private Hire, it will tell you to go to desk 16, after queing up for 45mins we were told we were at wrong desk and should be at desk 4, if there's a que at desk 16 check out desk 4 first! We were slightly anxious about cruising with MSC as I had read ...
