We had an excellent time aboard NCL Sun boarding in Tenerife and cruising to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Agadir, Casablanca, Ceuta, Malaga, Cadiz & ending in Lisbon.
Having sailed on NCL Sun in 2017 in South America, we decided to sail again this year when a great deal & itinerary came up. We booked the whole package with NCL including flights and transfers.
Everything went smoothly from start ...
Lovely ship which is quite compact put alongside the bigger more modern ones. The boarding at the start was seamless and the extended balcony cabin on deck 9 was very roomy. The staff were excellent in all departments on service level and the food was of good quality. The ship is let down badly by the Buffett restaurant which is not fit for purpose. The serving area is far too small for the number ...
A rather disappointing cruise. The entertainment was poor, only 2 musical/dancing shows in the theatre, some good music in the bars, but they had limited seating.
The food was good - but how can a NCL cruise ship run out of wine & beer ? We had the drink package and after the first few days our preferred white & red wines were unavailable, most of the bottled beer was 'off' too. We are not big ...
We booked as a late 50th for me and a first cruise for my partner - a PF grade on a select about 8 months out. It was more about seeing what she would think of a longer time at sea - she's done a fair bit of minicruising and this was my 4th cruise but first Oceanic.
Booking and the Flycruise element - easy but for some reason I couldn't select a cabin, even in an upgradeable fare class. Not ...
Decided to try this for a change and what a mistake that was.
Flew to Tenerife and then bused to the ship and went through boarding fairly easily and onto ship.
Ship looked in reasonable condition and cabin was clean and functional. Bathroom had shower curtain and shower head was too low to stand under and no soap.
After three hours case had not been delivered to room and went and ...
This was a very last minute holiday deal through Barrhead Travel on Azura sailing from Tenerife at an excellent price, booked one Saturday and sailed the following and it included flights, private transfers and a balcony cabin.
The ports of call were Madeira, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.
The last time we wre on Azura was the year it launched and we hadn't sailed with P&O since 2019 obviously ...
Having spent a number of early January holidays in Tenerife with friends we decided to try the Canary isle cruise with P & O as an alternative. And as an ex-merchant navy officer I was excited to experience a P & O Cruise. On Arrival a sign said "whats your first impressions"? Well ! Boarding appeared to be via the crews quarters. with pipework, old paintwork and various signs. Having ...
My Wife and I chose this cruise as a Cruise and Stay holiday. We had 3 nights in the Iberostar Bougainville in Costa Adeje before being transferred to the Azura.
Boarding was excellent, easily the best we’ve ever experienced. In no time at all we were on board and in the Atrium.
Now we have heard a lot of glowing reports about the Azura and we were really looking forward to our cruise . Many ...
Took a 10 day trip. First three nights in Santa Cruz. Nice enough city. Very clean. Usual shops etc. They were celebrating the Epiphany which meant on the Friday it was bank holiday so everything was shut ( jan 6 th).
Got on the boat. Billed as a P and O’s midsize adults only.
Food
Buffet very much same day after day. Very compact and not set out very well at all. Distinct lack of ...
3 day stay in Tenerife and 7 day cruise, stopping at Maderia , Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.
Ship in general looks tired. Furniture in cabins adequate but dated; a lot of brown and beige.
Light displays in main dining areas were not functioning properly.
The food was the most disappointing aspect. I am a Pescetarian and my husband vegetarian.
The food in the main dining rooms were ...
