We didn't realise that we were going to a holiday camp. In fairness I have to say that the cleanliness, cabins, shows, restaurants and staff service and attitudes were excellent, however we have travelled many times with Thomson and Marella and as soon as they went all inclusive their product became Benidorm.
You are supposed to at least wear "tailored" shorts in the restaurant but they were ...
we chose to go away at xmas as we had never done that .
w to our cabin two hours late due too flight problems, discovered the safe didnt work despite two crew members trying , a new safe was installed next day ,we unpacked then went and found our friends and explored a bit, went back to cabin to go to bed and found the duvet cover had dirty marks and some suspcious red marks , 15 mins to get it ...
Quite disappointed with Explorer this time around, it is in need of some TLC & yet again standard seem to be slipping with Marella. Food quality is average at best & along with some passengers general etiquette never being challenged by the crew, I believe this will be our last Marella cruise. I may be old fashioned, but I do like to see people at least wearing shirts & something on their feet ...
Booked a balcony cabin for a trip around the canaries and up to Madeira fly cruise reasonably well organised apart from a booking for two people and a flight for only one. As this was a fly cruise booked directly with P and O it was only through my diligence that I spotted the error, four hours on the phone, trying to get through to sort very apologetic, but nothing else in response. The balcony ...
This was our first P&O cruise since 2019. I was interested to see how things compared.
We booked a saver fare balcony cabin for which we paid around £730. Our cabin was assigned about a week before and I was pleasantly surprised to get what they classed as an upgrade to a midship cabin on deck 12.
The flight was with Jet2 and was fine my husband appreciated the leg room which was more than ...
We chose the ship for the intineraries and for the faciilites it offers and we did two single week cruises in June of this year and then in November rather than a single two week holiday. Having cruised mainly on RCI and Celebrity ships, the Azura falls short, but mostly in ways that could be remedied. The feeling we had is that P&O is a notch below the other lines in terms of service and quality. ...
Lovely ship which is quite compact put alongside the bigger more modern ones. The boarding at the start was seamless and the extended balcony cabin on deck 9 was very roomy. The staff were excellent in all departments on service level and the food was of good quality. The ship is let down badly by the Buffett restaurant which is not fit for purpose. The serving area is far too small for the number ...
A rather disappointing cruise. The entertainment was poor, only 2 musical/dancing shows in the theatre, some good music in the bars, but they had limited seating.
The food was good - but how can a NCL cruise ship run out of wine & beer ? We had the drink package and after the first few days our preferred white & red wines were unavailable, most of the bottled beer was 'off' too. We are not big ...
This was a very last minute holiday deal through Barrhead Travel on Azura sailing from Tenerife at an excellent price, booked one Saturday and sailed the following and it included flights, private transfers and a balcony cabin.
The ports of call were Madeira, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.
The last time we wre on Azura was the year it launched and we hadn't sailed with P&O since 2019 obviously ...
Having spent a number of early January holidays in Tenerife with friends we decided to try the Canary isle cruise with P & O as an alternative. And as an ex-merchant navy officer I was excited to experience a P & O Cruise. On Arrival a sign said "whats your first impressions"? Well ! Boarding appeared to be via the crews quarters. with pipework, old paintwork and various signs. Having ...
