We have sailed on 5 cruise lines and once before on Royal. We chose this cruise specifically for the itinerary.
We flew in the day of the cruise and embarked right on the ship with no wait. It was nice to see Royal hires so many senior citizens to direct you through the terminal but that should have really been my 1st inclination.

Overall a very pleasant cruise. Our fourth cruise with Royal Caribbean and ninth overall.
Ship is older and smaller but nicely refurbished. We had a junior site on the 8th deck.
Our cabin steward was outstanding and the staff was pleasant and accomodating.
The entertainment was excellent except for James Stephens III who was pompous and obnoxious and a no-talent in our opinion.

Stayed (2 nights) at the Hampton Inn Ybor City - great location - safe - right in the heart of Ybor City. We dined at Bernini on 7th Avenue - not to be missed.

Smooth, pleasant, quick, and we appreciated the extra assistance from the staff helping us with the wheelchair.

This was our 8th RCCL cruise but this one was our 25th. The one plus was the great music. How can a ship run out of bagels, muffins, Sam Adams within 5 days????? The ship was always clean but seemed to lack personnel. Cabin Steward had brought wine and got ice bucket when req'd but never any glasses, didn't even ask. We had a Jr. Suite too. This was our 6th Royal Caribbean cruise. The 10 day itinerary was Tampa, Key West, Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Cayman. Vision of the Seas is an old ship. Departure: Terminal 2, somewhat disorganized, escalators not working, one elevator, so we took the stairs. Otherwise, check in was went fairly well although they did not have tables where you can fill out the health form, so that was a little discomforting.

If you like small ships and lots of fun then the Vision is the ship for you. Lots of good music and dancing. We had an inside cabin, a little small but clean and comfortable, also had a great cabin attendant. The captain and his staff was always visible, approachable and made us feel welcome, The entire staff on the ship was friendly.
