This was my second cruise. My first was on a Carnival ship and people told me that RC was 10x better. Well not by my scale. The boat was crowded there were only 2 pools and 6 small (7 people hot tubs on the ship)
Our room was nice until it flooded while we were in Belize. We then had a fan for over 3 days trying to dry out our carpet so we could not enjoy our balcony state room.

While we have sailed on this class of vessel before, this was our first voyage on VISION and we had a wonderful time. Although she is an older ship, she went through rehab in 2013 and she looks great. The crew was among the best we have found an 10+ RCI cruises - everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make our cruise the best possible experience.

THE CONS
1) the itinerary was changed after we made our final payment,
2) there was some kind of computer problem at the Tampa port and it took 1 1/2 hours to get checked in,
3) we had to leave Key West early because weather (uncontrollable),
4) we couldn't go to Labedee because of the protesting so ANOTHER sea day but we got to go to San Juan a little earlier,

This was my 62nd cruise. I have been on almost every cruise line and had fun on just about all of them.

The cruise started with a computer shut down on embarkation which caused many passengers to wait in the terminal 2-3 hours; there was no backup system to recover from this problem. Many passengers were put in group #'s but this did not help the boarding.

I am so surprised to see the rating for this ship was 68%. WOW- so many people seemed to "miss the boat".
This was my 5th RCI cruise, and 8th cruise overall, and by far, this was the most FUN crew we have ever sailed with!
If you are looking for a HUGE ship, or all the fancy chandeliers, or all the "bells and whistles" , then Vision of the Seas is not for you.
