Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Sun

Sorry it took me almost a year to post this! My family had a very good vacation on the Sun. There were a LOT of college spring breakers on board, and they really created a fun atmosphere. We never saw anyone get too out of control, other than a few people stumbling back from Senor Frog's at one of the ports. Overall, it was a great bunch of young people having a good time with their ...

Really underwhelming

My boyfriend and I took this cruise for my 30th bday. I was told really good things about cruising, so I was really excited. The food was the most disappointing thing about the cruise. We did not have a single "amazing" meal. Having Chili's or Applebee's would have been a major upgrade. I spit out what was in my mouth twice. We ate at the buffet a lot because of timing issues. We tried to go to ...

This was our 4th cruise, our first on NCL. Although it was a smaller ship then we were used to, we found it quite nice. We departed from Tampa, our past cruises departed from Miami. Not much to see at the Tampa port, but the embarkation process was fast and smooth. We arrived at 10:30am and we were second in line to check-in. Then we waited about 30 minutes before we were allowed to board. ...

We were on the Sun on the 8th of March 2015 and I must say that Norwegian did not impress me at all. We had a balcony 0057 and the daughter had 0056. The shower and bathroom floor in her cabin was wet 3 days and it was reported each time and some one would come to look at it and stuff more towels in the pipes around the wall There was water leaking from the ceiling tiles just outside our cabin ...

A GREAT CRUISE

We began our trip at the Ramada Inn on Saturday prior to embarkation. The next day, we took a shuttle to the Tampa pier. Since this was our 4th cruise with NCL and being Lattitude Members, it took us less than half an hour to board the ship. Although it is an older ship, we found it to be very clean and the staff is very conscientious about spraying the passengers hands when entering the dining ...

Very Disappointing Experience, please read before booking

I rarely write reviews but felt the need to after our recent cruise. This was my 9th cruise and second with NCL and in terms of the total cruise experience, easily the worst. It is funny because the embarkation processes was probably the easiest, most organized, and best in my cruising experience. Port of Tampa was set up very well and we moved through the registration process very easily. ...

Unhappy cruiser

We were debating between the Sun and the Epic - the price was a little more for the Sun but it was more convenient for us to cruise out of Tampa. We were so disappointed and quite perturbed when we saw the difference in the ships when docked side by side in Cozumel. The Sun is an old, small ship, which needs to either be put to rest or updated. At a minimum, Norwegian should offer cruises on this ...

NCL freestyle cruising is the way to go. We enjoy eating at the time of our choice, see the early show, then Eat, then the Casino. The food was very good. But the main dining rooms only served the same choices through out the week. They were good but not a huge choice. My only complaint was that the minimum dress code requirements weren't enforced. If you want to wear flip flops, shorts and a ...

This was my 7th cruise and we only had a couple of problems that need to be addressed. #1 the manager of the Internet was not Customer Service friendly, he was very short when my sister asked questions about the internet being so slow. He never smiled and seemed not happy with his position. We have never had someone from the staff be so unfriendly. #2 we had two water leaks in our room which NCL ...

Norwegian Sun Outshines the Rest

My husband and I went our first honeymoon for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had an absolute blast. The cast and crew were amazing, the ports were beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the captain was a Bad***. I've been on cruises before where we missed ports because of the weather or the seas. We made all of ours, even though other ships missed out on several with similar routes within ...
