This was a free cruise that we won from Hard Rock Casino. We pay the port fee's and the taxes on a interior room. There was an upgrade available so we took it, ocean view. That came with 2 free options, we choose the beverage package and the dining package. So the free cruise now has increased a little over the free, port fee's, taxes, surcharges, dining gratuities, beverage gratuities, sunlight, ...

Mediocre Mayhem in March from NCL We had a great deal on this cruise to destinations of choice to see things I wanted to see plus a free drinks package We anticipated families and children but not so many students on a "loveboat & booze fest" on USA spring break For Freestyle cruising read Butlins holiday camp at sea! The destinations were wonderful but then that's why i chose the cruise ...

First, the NCL cruise and It was not an amazing experience!! I would not recommend the Norwegian Star!!! For our first cruise, I am totally disappointed with the lack of service, and the lack of Compassion in accommodating their guests!! The first day of embarkation, our keys were not coded correctly and could not get into our room cabin, so I headed to guest services, which the line was a mile ...

First trip on NCL, and our family of 7 (teen to seniors) had a great time. Ship was clean, steward was excellent, drinks very good. I was afraid I had made a mistake booking this ship after seeing a number of poor reviews for Oct-Nov of 2015, mostly on the long boarding/disembarking process and over-run bars with very long waits. But perhaps NCL read them too -- no long drink waits, and we had an ...

Ship was good size and crew was friendly and courteous except for shore excursions who was curt and rude. Rooms were clean and newly redone. Entertainment was very good. Boarding and leaving ship was slow and burdensome. Bar service was extremely poor, took 20-30+ minutes to get a drink anywhere ! Restaurant was attractive but food was at best average as was the menu. No lobster no fillet, ...

I must say that this cruise was fantastic....the best I ever had.. At first, I was not sure it was going to be a good cruise since I felt that the Star was a little rough around the edges...The furniture in our cabin was worn and there was a ripped curtain over the balcony door. The room itself was not as clean as I expected it to be..Mirrors were smudge, coffee pot sat in a silver tray that was ...

We recently sailed the Norwegian Star from Tampa on January 13th, 2012. The itinerary consisted of a day at sea, followed by port calls at Roatan (Honduras), Belize City, Costa Maya, Cozumel, followed by a final day at sea. The concierge and butler were out of this world. (Especially Gary the butler). The suite (12510) was great. Very secluded, mostly quiet, nice ample balcony, clean, etc. ...

My husband and I cruised on the Norwegian Star for the first time January 29-February 5, 2012. We were pleased with our room - 4th floor with a porthole window. There was minimal noise in this area and we felt very little movement. There was plenty of space after we unpacked our suitcases and pushed our bed against the wall. The bathroom was quite spacious. House keeping did an excellent job. ...

Check in for the cruise was VERY VERY slow and painful. The check in staff told us they were having problems with wireless access and apologies were given profusely. Most were patient but very hard to wait for hours in line with kids. We were also in a priority line.. At 2pm there was still very long lines behind us and the seating area completely full. Once on we were escorted to our suite by a ...

We chose this cruise because it left from our home port of Tampa and had stops at four ports. First impression was not good as we had to wait to check on to boat for two hours. Once on board the first thing I noticed when getting to the cabin areas was the strong smell of stale smoke. We got to our room and one of the first things we noticed was the tiny T.V. The room itself was decent sized, ...
