A nice cruise, Carnival could have done more

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Carnival Miracle

We chose this cruise because we had always wanted to go through the Panama Canal. We only could take two weeks off from work, so this was the cruise we chose. This was a repositioning cruise for the Miracle, but Carnival also billed it as a Panama Canal cruise. PROS: Our stateroom (an obstructed view balcony) was large enough for two people and kept well cleaned and stocked by our ...

Tired Old Tub disappointed us

This was our second cruise on the Miracle. The last one was in 2015. We have been on 13 cruises. 5 cruises with Carnival. Poor maintenance shows all over this rusty old tub. CABIN: We had the beds arranged as two singles and the linens did not match. Some of the pillowcases and sheets were old yellowed and stained. The vanity countertop trim varnish was peeling, chipped, and missing in many ...

Carnival Quality needs to be Reviewed

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Carnival Miracle

Used to cruise Carnival all the time. Have cruised other boats in past few years. Will not go back to Carnival again after this experience. This boat needs to be completely redone or drydocked right away. It is dated, it is not maintained. It is dirty, dated and dull. Also, Carnival really missed the boat (pun intended) on the Panama Canal. They had no information leading up to the ...

We chose this cruise because we love to end up at home, no travel day at the end. We had been on ship in January and you can view my rave review on this site. We loved the whole experience. It was an eye opener, all the changes in a couple of months and not is a happy way. The positives: The staff, the service, the cabin attendants, the food, and the entertainment all wonderful. Professional, ...

Royal Caribbean VS Carnival

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Chose to travel on Royal Caribbean for the first time having heard how much better they were compared to Carnival which is the line we have used for many years. The plus side for them was on the following areas, embarkation, debarkation, buffet, shows. Getting in and out of the ship was the fastest we have ever experience, even with the VIP treatment at Carnival. They had real Broadway type ...

We chose our cruise for a quick get away to break from my ever stressful job. Plus my wife's birthday was on October 20th so we decided to do something relaxing and fun. We booked the Carnival Paradise knowing it wasn't going to be fancy and possibly full of interesting individuals! Needless to say we were so pleasantly surprised. This ship, although older and smaller than some was absolutely ...

Paradise: Still Great

Just returned from a 4-night sailing on The Paradise. Wondered throughout the trip why so many do not like this ship. Embarkation was totally without any problems. Once on board the ship impressed time-and-again as to the cleanliness; fantastic crew attitude and all-around caring of the entire crew. Our cabin attendant was nearly invisible; yet, our cabin was kept neat and clean at all ...

Worst Experience EVER

PLEASE LET ME START OUT BY SAYING THAT THIS REVIEW NO WAY REFLECTS THE STAFF, as the staff was absolutely fantastic and VERY hard working (to work 7 1/2 months straight without seeing family and with no days off seems unfathomable to me). Positives - Our waiter Rajul, and his partner Jorge were fantastic, and I wish I had them with me on every vacation :-). Our steward Franklin was great as ...

NCL Star was Fantastic!

Fifth cruise for us. Star is a nice sized ship that is easy to get around. Nice decor and clean. Easy on and easy off in Tampa. Waiting for our cabin to be ready, we dined in Versailles. Shrimp burger and Roast beef sandwich and both were very good. We enjoyed our wine and meal while the heard of people headed for the Buffet (no thanks). Room ready quickly. #10730 Aft. Great room with a ...
