First and last NCL cruise

Review for Norwegian Dawn to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

Very disappointed in the overall NCL experience. Our ship was older and small, but that was the least of its problems. Food was awful and service was sparse. Long lines for drinks and food at the specialty restaurants was substandard with the exception of Cagney’s steakhouse. I was disappointed in all of the extra hidden fees on the ship and the Wi-Fi service that we paid hundreds of dollars ...

Review for Carnival Paradise to Caribbean - Western

I usually don’t write reviews but This cruise was NOT worth the money spent. The food was not good anywhere even at the dinner restaurant. The drink package was not worth it because it took 30mins to get a drink each time because the bartenders are very slow since they get the same tip either way (auto grat), they were also rude. Service in the dining room was very bad, sat with an empty water for ...

Never cruise with Carnival!

Review for Carnival Paradise to Caribbean - Western

Never cruise with Carnival! I have been on quite a few cruises and always felt sad when the cruise was over, and I had to go back to every day’s life. Not this time! Everything bad you could imagine happened on this one, and this was not accidental, it was deliberately caused by the cruise company. But let’s list the topics one at a time. Embarkation The cruise policy states that you are ...

A good cruise but

Review for Celebrity Constellation to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

At her launch in 2002 Celebrity Constellation held 1,900 passengers. We left Tampa on March 6th with 2172 passengers. As you can imagine that means space is at a premium in elevators, poolside, in restaurants and just about everything else. To make things even a bit worse it is woefully undermanned. On our first night out Main Dining had major backups in the kitchen. No longer do we have ...

Not truly paradise; Dated, tired ship

Review for Carnival Paradise to Bahamas

The good: Crew was excellent on this ship. All were friendly and professional. None of what I’m about to say is their fault. The Carnival check in process is much better than it used to be pre-COVID. The Carnival Hub is an excellent tool for planning your days. The bad: the internet for $110 (5 night cruise) simply stinks. It’s 2023. There has to be a faster internet than you can get here. ...

Not worth the money

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

Defiantly not kid friendly cruise for ages 4 and under. My son is autistic and wasn’t able to experience the full amenities we were told when booking. They won’t allow kids to wear swimmers to get in the pool area or slide. The non American staff members were poorly educated on customer service, lack of communication, basic de-escalation skills, and no compassion for guest.Yet they let adults in the ...

Ports of Call

Review for Brilliance of the Seas to Caribbean - Western

We have cruised for 20 years. We have cruised many times with Royal Carribean. We chose Brillance of the Seas for ports of call Cozumel and Caymans and a smaller ship. Our experience on this ship was mixed. The embarkation went fast and smooth. The food was really good. We were disappointed on anytime dining. We had a reservation and still had to wait in one line with others without ...

last cruise with Norwegian

Review for Norwegian Dawn to Caribbean - All

Where do I start.... Embarking time was 12-12:30, we arrived at Tampa port and line ups were very long, either passengers disregarded their time slots or NCL was very disorganized with registering passengers. We finally got through the process and arrived on the ship but had to wait for our room to be ready. Went to Garden Cafe (buffet) only half the buffet was open. We had an Oceanview ...

Review for Norwegian Dawn to Caribbean - All

Had friends that booked this cruise, so we joined them. This was our 4th cruise in the past 12 months. The embarkation was poor, long lines, had to repeat much if the info we had entered online, take pictures again, etc. Took an hour to get on board. Cabin wasn't ready, bags didn't show up until 5pm. The flowers my wife ordered for us and our friends never arrived (the card did). Guest ...

NCL is declining

Review for Norwegian Dawn to Caribbean - All

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 60s

Sadly, NCL Dawn is just a vehicle to get to fun port destinations. As a pretty frequent cruiser, and latitudes member I must say we have seen a steady decline in NCL. The Dawn does not really honor the latitudes program that they promise to loyal repeat customers. The service is good, despite the obvious staff cutbacks. There are no longer a towel monitors and people were grabbing 4 or 5 towels ...
