I've cruised with Carnival before, we liked the itinerary, and the price was reasonable. The food was excellent and the wait staff and cruise director were great. Also, we really enjoyed the ship's entertainment. The spa and the showers in the locker room were very nice. The ship itself is pretty warn out. Our stateroom was not clean upon arrival (we found clothing tags, contact lenses, hair extensions and other debris in our room upon arrival. Our in room safe didn't work, but after 2 phone calls it was replaced. (We had to contact your seward as the guest services phone number is never answered) The equipment in the fitness center is pretty old. Several treadmills were not even operational. The basketball court is above the space where they do yoga, and the kids giant slide is right near the adult only "Serenity Area"...poor planning? There were many children on the ship, often not supervised. We called to complain about yelling and crying during the night from the room next to ours...the parents were staying in a different room across the hall. One pool was closed during the last few days of our cruise, and the adult only pool didn't look very clean and was full of drunks. No serenity there. Finally, we could not hear the intercom system in our room, so we often missed out on directions. We had fun, but it certainly has room for improvement. Read Less

We took our 5 children on a Christmas Cruise. It was our first time on Holland America. As far as the Rotterdam is concerned, I have fallen in love. The classic ship is elegant, well thought out, impeccably cleaned and maintained. The entertainment was amazing. we enjoyed a very funny comedian, Planet Earth is done with a live orchestra, violins, cello, piano, first-class. A musical- Post Modern Jukebox was delightful. We did reserved dining and it did not disappoint. Food is top notch, service was kind and entertaining, we had so much fun meeting the staff. we felt spoiled and lucky and content each evening. The ship's art is amazing. I loved the decor. It was Christmas and the Dutch gingerbread houses were adorable. There is an amazing fitness Center and Spa up on floor 8. There are 2 pools and they never felt crowded. You can eat inside, outside all day long if you wish. This was our 6th cruise. It is our favorite ship. Much better than Royal Carribean! Read Less

We wanted to go to Cuba. Cuba was nice. Dinning staff is outstanding. Don't expect any problems to be solved by other staff. You don't have to book an excursion to leave the ship in Cuba. Was emailed a week before sailing we had to book an excursion through the ship to get off in Cuba, called Royal Caribbean they said same thing. Got to the ship and crew told us we didn't need to book anything to leave the ship. Tried to get our money back but staff didn't believe us and we were stuck. By the way we had 9 people in our party, we are only out $600.00. DJ in nightclub sucked, one night was 70's , played five 70's songs then played current crap. There was another lounge playing the Latin and current music, why have two lounges playing the same stuff. Dance floor was pack during 70's songs and then everyone left when DJ started playing Justin Beiber, I'm pretty sure he wasn't even born in the 70's. Read Less

Very helpful with my food allergies. We loved both performances of Mike Pace the comedian & Stephanie Parker the singer. Staff were ALL friendly, personable & helpful. We had a great time! Only feedback to change-tell those swimming with dolphins you can't wear sunscreen before they leave ship. Tips on top of excursions gets annoying, we'd prefer an all inclusive fee instead. We booked a room at Rodeway Inn near Ybor City before-cheap, but not a quiet night or safe feeling. This was outside of cruise deal, we did on our own, but would NOT recommend it! Lyft drivers have been great getting us from St. Petersburg airport & back for about $25 each time. One other thing that would have been helpful to know before:they gave us beach towels for excursion & pool activities. We wouldn't have had to bring them. There were 2 themed nights (all white & 70's we didn't know about before either. Read Less

+I had never been on a cruise before let alone out of the United States of America. I chose this exciting cruise because of a combined decision among family members. The ship is not even the biggest ship offered, yet is still really large! The state rooms were very clean and the staff members were lovely. Most of my meals were held at the Marketplace. The food had many options- some the same every day but definitely enough variety for me to enjoy the experience and not feel like I am eating the same thing every day. -There were two fires while I was on this ship. One was at 3am. This consisted of staff members and the captain over the loud speaker at 3 o clock in the morning. The way the staff handled the situation was great, however a fire in the incinerator at 3am is not always the best wake up call. The second fire had to do with the A/C units. I don't know how far the A/C outage occurred, but me and my floor did not have air conditioning for a night & half the next day. The last negative I have is that the bathroom toilet in my state room randomly did not have water flowing in it and would refuse to flush. This is gross and not acceptable for obvious reasons. Carnival Miracle: May 13,2018 Never cruised before, not my thing. More of a adventure seeker than buffet chaser. Cruising still not my thing but had a fantastic time. Wanted to spend time with my brother who loves cruising so took the plunge. Read lots of reviews so was hesitant I was wasting my money. I was wrong. PROS: 1) The crew made the whole difference. Those people work their asses 24/7, 10 hour days 7 days a week, for 7 months straight to satisfy 2500 buffet crazy Americans. Always a smile, over the top helpful. Not sure how they keep their sanity and smile and desire to serve. 2) Everyone complained ship was old but I was blown over by how great a shape things were kept. OK, 1 pedal on an exercise bike was squeaky and the screen didn't work on another one. Wow. Our cabin was fantastic and we had a small one. Ship was scrubbed and clean. Not sure what all the whining was about. 3) Shows were very good. Comedy was mostly good, the X rated ones used the 'F' word too much (I use the 'F' word too, but not like I stutter with it as they did) 4) Food was unbelievable. I'm not a restaurant person but WOW. Must of been 100 different dishes and OK maybe 10% are duds, but the other 90% are fantastic. Sure beats overpriced restaurant food I've had in the past. The head chef went out of his way after hours to make me this incredible hamburger that i will never forget...and I generally don't eat meat. 5) Sufficient exercise machines. Some needed to be fixed. GREAT steam room. 6) Passengers were all nice. Didn't see any obnoxious drunks but we generally avoided that crowd. Ship was big enough. 7) Extremely well organized. Carnival kept 2500 Americans synchronized like a well oiled machine. Great job. Cons: 1) Nickel and dime: you to death so we avoided all the extras still had great ime 2) Port of calls. We did 1 nature tour in Routan which we liked, but overall it was like cruising between shopping malls. Got sucked into $10/glass beers in Cayman. Just overpriced tourist traps. Not worth it, didn't really see the REAL Hondouras, etc. 3) Everyday you are faced with the American health care crisis in all its glory as 75% of the passengers avoided the salad buffet. The amount of wasted food at the buffets is almost criminal.Very sad statement about American society today. Overall A+. Thanks Carnival. Will go again..but maybe when I'm 70. dman Read Less

Had a wonderful five night cruise aboard the Brilliance in February 2018. This was a restful and relaxing cruise. We avoided the pool deck and main dining room. Our idea of a great cruise is lots of visual access to the water and blue sky, and alone time as we have very social jobs back home. We bought the five night specialty restaurant package and ate twice in Chops, twice in Giovanni's, and once in Izumi. Food was excellent, with some items so good we had them both nights. On the two sea days, the package included lunch in Chops and in Giovanni's. Again excellent. The buffet on Brilliance is well designed with enough nooks and crannies for seating that it doesn't have the same sort of factory/banquet feel like on other ships. Breakfast in Windjammer was surprisingly relaxing, especially if you get an outdoor table far away from the bussing stations. The Colony Club is a big wood panelled sunken lounge that feels like bygone times. Elegant and large with plenty of big comfy club seats. Often during the afternoons live classical music was played here. There are games tables and puzzle tables. My only complaint would be that the music trivia game would arrive mid-afternoon for about 45 minutes in what was otherwise a tranquil spot. The classical players would stop playing and the pop music trivia contest would blare loudly through the space. And then, if would depart. The Thermal Suites were excellent. With a Thermal pass, we were able to take in two daily visits each day of the cruise, followed by some light cardio in the gym or on the outdoor track. A great way to balance the 7 meals in the specialty restaurants. The lower promenade deck was seldom used (but for the occasional smoker) and was a perfect spot to sit and read when we wanted a break from our balcony. Surprisingly, it was great to see the absolute bow open to guests. Excellent spot for sail-away and afternoon breeze. Didn't see any shows or visit the casino. The shops had the same price for two watches we bought in Georgetown. And I stocked up on cosmetics for birthday gifts back home. Excellent prices; especially the sales table. If you don't want the hub-bub of a big ship, but want a ship still big enough for anonymity (unlike the smaller yachts), I highly recommend the Brilliance. The (gratis) steam room and sauna in the gym changing rooms were very lightly attended whenever we were there. The top deck in the evening was almost deserted and perfect for starry walks. The spa is small and personable. Everyone is in the atrium, and it's fun to walk past to watch the contests and carousing ... or not. It's a great ship. Read Less

Ship has a variety of activities for everyone. Entertainers brought in were very good. Especially Elvis Presley impersonator and comedian Michele Balan was excellent Older ship and not contemporary decor.- furniture. Cleanliness is good and spa is great. . Main dining could have a broader menu selection. The casino is a plus ~ positive. Great pool side music. Could do a better job with pool side large screen. Often repeated tv bloopers of bike ~ skate board riding. Ports are great but Belize is small and not a lot to do. High poverty and dirty in some areas. St Thomas Cayman Island is beautiful. Cozumel is a great place - lots of shopping options- beautiful port - Costa Maya is beautiful. Highly recommend touring Chacchoben Mayans ruins Read Less

My husband, HS Junior and I were looking for a relaxing, recharging, sun and aqua water escape. The Dawn was our 2nd cruise (Royal Princess before) so we had a certain level of expectation. Our balcony mini-suite was the perfect size, comfortable and clean. Public areas were nice but finding seating inside on windy days was difficult. Hated that half of protected area around pool was smoking. Couldn't find a lounge chair around pool anyway only bar height tables sometimes open. Buffet was average. If you're looking for a lot of carbs, you'll be happy. The included dining options had a lot of variety and keep our portions controlled :) Specialty dining (extra $) wasn't worth the money. We had the free 3 dinner option-- would not have been happy to pay for what we received otherwise. Ended up going to the italian, brazilian and hibachi restaurants (couldn't get into the steakhouse). I have a gluten-intolerance which all the restaurants accomodated very well. The entertainment was the highlight. Main show every evening and all were excellent. Free morning stretch class was a bit disappointing. Crew member lacked enthusiasm and didn't even show one morning. They had other classes (yoga, pilates, etc.) but didn't sign up because $12/class. My 16-year old (going on 20) avoided the teen program so we can't comment on it. There was a group of rowdy teens that prowled the ship -- loud and a bit rude. We arranged 2 excursions on our own that were pleasant. Maya and Harvest Caye were disappointing. In Maya, we needed to walk through a maze of shops to get to the transport -- it was a bit much. Harvest Caye shops were overpriced, sand was rough and the waters were cloudy. We should have taken the boat to mainland, heard from others it was interesting. Getting on the ship was efficient and well staffed. Debarkation was horrible!! Whoever coordinated the debarkation did a terrible job or had no contingency plans or staff to manage the passengers. It seemed that all of the staff had disappeared. Still don't know why we had delays. If you care to hear the details here's what we experienced................ We had a noon flight so opted not to check our bags and take everything ourselves downstairs at 7:45 for the 8am debarkation. The only instructions we received were to go to the deck 7. Once there we were put in a line. Assumed it was for those of us with all our luggage (first mistake). We ended up waiting in that line for 90min. The only update was over the PA requesting non-US citizens to go to immigration in one of the restaurants. It appears we all needed to wait to leave the ship until all of the international passengers had gone through immigration. (clearly someone was missing) No staff were around to update us as our line continued to get longer. Finally at 9:30 our line began to move, unfortunately all of the passengers in the colored groups waiting in the lounge areas along the hallway before us began merging into our line. There was no order or staff direction until we reached the other end of the ship. Took another 90min for us to get off the ship and through customs to catch a cab to the airport. Had 1 hour to get from the port to our gate. Luckily, the bag check and security areas were empty so we made our flight home. Read Less

Friends and group travel from our community. Food was good not great but plentiful. Entertainment was fabulous with good variety and interesting. Cruise Director was super and really enjoyed the staff and the many countries they came from. The value and quality provided by Royal Caribbean is second to none. I would recommend this cruise line to everyone, especially families and friends looking for a getaway thats stress free. The line is well organized and very clean. The ships theater was as good as any Broadway theater and the shows/performances were off the charts. Kids are more than enough to do and the safety of the ship and caring of the staff was also second to none. If there is one draw back, but thats with any cruise ship and thats the overcrowded pool and lounge chair area. The gym was adequate and very clean. The tours in ports are so/so if you go to the Cayman Islands don't bother with the 7 mile beach excursion. Its overpriced and they take you to packed in beach. Take a cab and explore on your own. Overall great cruise line and would highly recommend for your next cruise. Read Less

I did not know what to expect after hearing good and bad on Carnival. So, I did what I always do, I decided to take a chance. I'm so glad I did. I will make a few recommendations first. Get your cruise booked months in advance. Book your parking (if driving)in advance. Read the reviews on the tours, in advance. Get your passport squared away. There are some cruise ticket holders for sale on line, if you want them. Get your cruise tickets just before you leave. You can book your land tours in advance but you pay when you book. That may be good for budgeting. Get your camera batteries charged just before you leave. Bring your phone chargers, dramamine and Bug repellent. Finally, they allow you to bring a case of soda and a bottle of wine p/p. I really recommend this one. Okay so the cruise. Trip scheduled to go to Cayman, Mohogany Bay Honduras, Belize and Cancun. First stop, Cayman, we booked the Stingray city and Reef snorkeling trip. Awesome. Allot of time spent with the stingrays. Everybody got a chance to pet and even kiss the rays. We had a chance, at the end, to eat local food before boarding the ship again. Next stop, Mohogany Bay. We booked the Private Island with lunch. This little Island is a sanctuary for animals found in need of help. They nurse them back to health and release them back to the wild. They also have a Mayan Temple and an arena. The Food, Animals and Temple were all way batter than expected. Next, Belize. Mayan ruins and River boat tour. Wow. An actual Temple from way back. Again, Awesome. This tour was the best. Lunch place is provided and you have to buy your lunch for about $10 buck. Affordable and good local food. Lastly, Cozmel and the Secret River tour and lunch. Awesome. Very informative and really cool. Literally. I don't want to spoil all the fun for you so I will not speak about everything at each place. I will say that I highly recommend all 4 of these tours. They were the highlight our land trip. Ok, now the ship. The Miracal was fantastic. The service was fenominal. Cabin Stewart was great. Food was great. I recommend the Steak house and the Chefs Table highly. These are must do. You have never had a meal like the Chefs table offers. Well worth the money. In all, everybody was genuinely interested in knowing if you are having a great time and what can they do to assure you are. Every thing about this trip was fantastic. I can't wait to take another trip. I asked many people on board, if this was their first or tenth trip. Many said this is multiple trips on Carnival and they only travel on Carnival. I asked, why? Cost, fun, service, ships, crew and bang for the buck. I'm going Carnival again. Are you? I heard so many different comments, good and bad, on Carnival, I was not sure what to expect. So, as I often do, I decided to take a chance. (People are so fickle). First off, I would recommend getting in town the day before. I heard some people talk about delayed flights, traffic etc. They were stressed. Also, get all your stuff, tickets, passports, etc before time. The day of the cruise was a very nice experience. We arrived at the pre arranged time and everything went as expected. We dropped off bags and I parked with, again, the pre reserved valet. They took my car and we were off to our vacation. We followed direction and went to check in. Unlike the airport, this TSA experience was pleasant. 1 - 12 pack of soda p/p and a bottle of wine p/p is allowed. I recommend this. We continued to the check in desk and that went off without a hitch. So far so good. We were then called and allowed to board. Here we go. Once on board, they directed us to the bar. Imagine that. Starting off with a drink. We were later allowed to go to the room. We unpacked and chilled out for a bit. We got underway and prepared for lunch. For our first meal on board, it was pretty good. We later went to customer service to confirm our tours. We booked 4 tours before our trip but you really don't have to do that. You can wait till you arrive to book land tours. I recommend reading the reviews on each tour. It will help you make a good choice. I did that and found 4 tours that were highly recommended. Booking ahead of time also helps with budgeting money. You can pay for this before the trip. As you will find out, they require a credit card be tied to your on board account. That is how you charge evening on board. We walked around the shop and learned our way around the ship. We ran into the SPA people. If you don't want to spend a ton of money, run away. They are very good sales people and you will be caught up in the excitement of getting a great treatment We later checked in for dinner at the main dining room. It took me 3-4 days to figure this out but you can order everything on the menu or even seconds. Now you know. As for the food, wow, very good dinner. Read Less

I was looking forward to a nice elegant ship and this was the wrong choice. The ship was very dated, carpets and chairs worn out. The food was terrible and there was no entertainment. I have been on a lot of cruises and this is the worst food I think I was ever served. The crew was not upbeat or friendly. It felt as if they were wanting it over and didn't want to go out of their way to say hello. The entertainment was good but there was not enough of it. Unless you gamble there was nothing to do from 7pm to 10:30 pm. And at 10:30 pm the disco opened. Much too late after a day of sun. The excursion was fun and that was the best part of the trip. I would not recommend this ship to anyone. It needs to be scrapped and refreshed. Which I was told by staff the ship is getting remodeled in April 2018. That would explain a lot. Read Less

This was a 25 person Family Cruise. Very boring and over priced. The Brilliance of the Sea had a very tired feeling to it and it seemed to be all about the tips. The dining room food was not very good. Small portions and not very tasty at all. Service was very good at the table but overall the food was very poor in quality and taste. There was only 1 hot tub for adults and it was always full with a waiting line. There was alteration at the customer service area with a drunk person on the last night of our trip and there didn't seem to be any security available at all. When we inquired who was in charge we were told that they didnt know but they managed to get some sort of manager out of bed to come talk to us. We did file a report but not sure what came out of it. The rooms were clean and well kept. The embankment and disembarkation went very smoothly and all the ports. I traveled with my teenage daughter and she made many friends while on the ship, the only thing she didn't like was the lack of channels on the television in the evening. and she wished they showed movies for kids more her age. The evening dinner experience was the highlight of the entire experience due to our waiters Abdelkarim and Alexis. They catered to our every whim, wants and culinary desires. We had anytime dining and never had over a 5 minute wait. Food and wait service were excellent. Comedy lounge was giant and comics top notch. Spa and fitness center were great. Casino staff were great and it was easy to get a seat at my favorite table games. We were in a grand suite and loved it...room Stewart was excellent. We had an ocean view cabin and an interior cabin. They were quite spacious for two in each cabin. Our steward Mariono was super nice all the time and we had different towel folding animals every night after dinner. Room service was great and fast. In the cabin, I like the shower head a lot. Chose this cruise because a co-worker had taken it in February and it was an easy location for us to get to (Tampa from Cleveland) and the dates worked for my wife and I to get off work. Overall it was a good experience for our first cruise. The ship, while a little dated, was very clean. Our cabin (U-228) had a rear facing window and was very well kept, clean and in good shape. Our steward (Andre) was on top of things and kept the room in tip-top shape at all times. Being in the rear there was a gentle hum of engine/prop noise but it was actually relaxing. Bed was very comfortable. Food/dining was excellent. We chose the 8:15 dining time in the Destiny lounge. They had some food that was extra but we never chose it because we always found something new and interesting on the menu. Only complaint was that we were sat at a 10-seat table and 2 of the 3 nights we ate alone, on the other 2 nights one other couple showed up. The pool was very crowded in the center so we spent most time on the Serenity adult only deck or the upper aft pool area. Health club /spa was very nice. We got a couples massage on the first night and loved it. I used the treadmills most days and the showers, steam room and sauna in the men's locker room instead of showering in my cabin. For an excursion we chose the Cenote Hopping with Lunch in Cozumel. It was a great trip and Paco the guide was awesome. I would warn people about to take this trip though that it is a journey to get to with a 45 minute boat ride from Cozumel to the mainland then a 50 minute bus ride to the Cenotes and lunch is not served until the very end, so I'd bring a snack if I had it to do all over again. But the hiking was very easy along trails and swimming, zip lining and cliff jumping into the Cenotes was a great experience. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The one formal dining night was nice but not everyone dressed up. For entertainment we enjoyed the comedians and also caught a couple shows. The casino was nice albeit very smoky. Embarkation was very easy as was debarkation. Overall I'd rate it a 4/5 stars. We purchased the cruise kind of on a whim during Carnival's sale in February and I would definitely say it was worth what we paid. Read Less

We have done several Disney cruises as a family (with our now 7 year old daughter and sometimes both sets of grandparents) so our bar was set fairly high before this cruise. We decided to do this cruise last minute while other family members were visiting Florida. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the ship and everything it had to offer. The one thing that shocked us was how uncrowded we felt the entire cruise. Now obviously if you wanted to lay out around the main pool you would be hard pressed to find a lounge chair - but there were plenty of other areas to relax and catch some rays. Arriving at the port we chose to valet our car which was a very quick drop off (and pick up was SUPER fast). Going through security and onto the boat was also much quicker than anticipated. Someone mistook our luggage for theirs and Frances at the port was amazing in calming me down and helping us locate the luggage just before we passed through customs. We did the bogo specialty dining offer before boarding for the steakhouse and Italian dining. Note that we are foodies and are pretty picky about our meals. The food at both places was top notch as was the service. Dining in the main dining hall was obviously a step down from the specialty restaurants but then again we expected that. The main dining room's food wasn't bad though - but I'd describe it as "wedding food". My daughter and I ate at the buffet every morning as we are both early risers and were usually one of the first people there. The omelet station was supurb - they even bring it out to you! Overall I have no complaints about the food. I enjoyed the middle level dining package (basically anything you want that doesn't include alcohol) and my husband got the top tier alcohol package. We both felt that we got our moneys worth. I found that there was plenty of things for the family to do on the ship - constantly an activity happening. We mainly enjoyed the kids slide area - with loungers available for us to relax while she played on the kids slide. Our daughter FINALLY tried the kids club on our last day at sea and we had a hard time getting her to leave. She said it was just as good as Disney's with lots of games, activities, and even a dance party. (She also won the hulahoop contest and went home with a "real gold medal" lol). The one thing that no one has mentioned that I'd really like to mention is the hidden gem - in the irish pub there is a nightly performer. He plays the guitar, takes requests, and has the entire bar dancing and singing. It was amazing. He did not stop between songs - often blending one into another. He is for sure something to check out. We didn't go to the shows as we preferred to do the smaller entertainment on the boat so I can't give a review on that. I DID actually check out the gym one morning and it was pretty neat "running into the ocean" on the treadmills. The gym wasn't crowded and seemed to have everything that we needed. Our room was adequate and I really have no complaints about it too. We seemed to have enough room for everything we needed and I was actually impressed with the amount of small storage that was available to us. On the whole it was a great first experience with Royal Caribbean and we will be doing the Oasis in Sept. Read Less

I choose this cruise line because I heard a lot of positive things about it. I was not impressed by anything beside the staff, the staff was mainly always excellent. I encountered one situation were I was instructed that I could eat at the buffet dinner because I was wearing a tank top. I felt like it was a sexist thing because my wife was wearing a tank top right beside me but she was told she could eat wearing a tank top however, I can't. My room attendant was awesome and made the trip worth wild. The shore excursions was awesome n Honduras and Belize but Costa Maya wasn't that great. I was basically a place where everybody on the island was trying to sell you something but over charging for it. I found glass in my food once and saw that a female had hair in her food one day but the food was good. The coffee was way too strong everyday me and my wife tried to drink from it. Read Less

This was my first Norwegian cruise. I was advised by a friend and my travel agent to choose a different line. However, I read about The Haven and wanted to try it. There was only one Courtyard penthouse suite left, so my TA grabbed it at my insistence. It was cabin 14514. There's another post on this site discouraging readers from booking that particular cabin because of noise. I was quite worried about that, but it was all for naught. The cabin was perfect. My husband was supposed to go with me, but he got sick at the last minute. I hadn't taken out insurance since it was just a four day cruise. I'm not sure why I thought that made a difference, but I did. Lesson learned. Since I couldn't get our money back, I decided to go on the cruise by myself. I said good bye to my soul mate, not at all sure I was doing the right thing. Well, it turned out to be the best thing ever. It was like a rejuvenating visit to a relaxing spa. The Haven is like a ship within a ship. I rarely left floor 14, the dedicated Haven floor. On that floor was a wonderful outdoor lounge area with comfy chairs, a small pool, a whirlpool, exercise room, food and drink, and a large sun tanning area up a few steps. You needed to use your room key to access the 14th floor. Even on the elevator, you had to insert your room key above the number 14, or the elevator wouldn't take you there. I ate only in the speciality restaurants (excellent) since they were included for Haven guests, but I heard the food in the regular restaurants was quite good. There were two performances each night for the entertainment in the big theater. One at 7:30 and one at 9:30. That's the first time I've encountered two showings on a cruise, and for me it was perfect. I'm an early to bed person, so the 7:30 was perfect. The ship offered a wonderful thermal spa experience. $137 for the entire cruise allowed me access to the thermal spa every day, consisting of a steam room, a sauna, an ice cold pool, a regular whirlpool, a reflexology spa with jets and bubbles up to my neck, and thermal lounges to relax on. It was like another world in there. It was a very large area with walls of windows looking out to sea. I see I'm running out of space here, but I'm sure you can tell I had a wonderful experience. I finished one book and started another. I emailed each day with my hubby. I rejuvenated myself, plain and simple. I felt like baby bear in The Haven. It was 'just right.' I have 3 more Norwegian Haven experiences booked. Read Less

Convenient port, short, new ship for us, and less expensive. You can't always have the best weather, but this cruise was the smoothest we have been. Gulf was like a lake! Crew was fantastic, personable, always making efforts to accommodate us and make sure we were satisfied with everything. Shopping guide was great! Food was the best of our past 18 cruises! Coffee was 200% better than Grandeur! Diamond lounge concierge was wonderful, even though they had new servers working there. Our room attendant went beyond things they usually do. Only negative- spa/salon did not enter one of my appointments, but wrote it on my card. I was not compensated in any way for their error, but I am a forgiving person. Many varieties of activities, recreational options, and games. Will probably do this ship/cruise again just for relaxation and quick getaway, or maybe even a little longer cruise! Great cruise! I had a wonderful time on this ship, the whole crew was very friendly including Housekeeping. There was no dissatisfaction for me the whole cruise. I love Karaoke and the two people who hosted it were two women named Kelsey & Maggie, very polite hosts like the rest of the crew they will also join you in singing if you asked them. Karaoke is located in the Leonardo Lounge and the cruise has very friendly bartenders. One of my favorites is a woman named Elin, she is very friendly and a great person to talk to, she has a very bubbly personality and she makes good drinks. these 3 ladies that I have named in this review I refer them to any passenger cause they are the best and so is the whole crew! The Food Is great. they will have different nationality foods on Lido deck every once and a while along with your old fashion Hamburgers and hol dogs and fries, I never went to the formal dining cause I forgot my belt for my dress pants at home. Cozumel Mexico was great for shopping, Grand Cayman I didn't go to cause of the Mosquito's. Either way I had an amazing time. The cruise also had Single meet ups for straight & gay couples that are not ran buy any of the crew members but, I don't think anyone was interested in going to any of the meet ups when I was on the cruise I went to 2 straight single meet ups there was nobody lol and quite honeslty I think singles groups are a waste of time in my opinion.
